Amazing story of a dogs love for his owner/friend I love a Happy Story. :)

I was knocked out cold by my dog many many years ago - I bent down to fill his water bowl, he jumped, hit me in the mouth/nose/face I fell back hitting my head on the garden edge - Out Cold......awoke to him licking my face. When I finally gathered my legs I went inside and got a fright when I looked at My Swollen/Bruised/Bloody face, so I call a girlfriend Hi Lilly, can you come over I have cut my Lips which sounded more like wipps and might need you to drive me to the Doctor... ( She thought I said I had cut my Wrists) poor woman arrived within minutes with a bag full of bandages. 40 years later we still laugh about it :)

+ 1 As the time wore on and then I saw the Police and SES at the Beach my heart sank. Now I am so relieved I am crying.

Prayers answered.....he is home safe and well.

For Riley and all who are out searching for him. I hope his dogs are with him as they will be easily spotted walking with a young child. I saw this story on FB early yesterday afternoon and was hoping for happy news

OMYDOG sorry to laugh......but I got the mental picture with your description. Hope he doesn't need any help tomorrow or you may have to wear goggles and a mask :rofl:

Did you get the Eye ointment ? If flushing her eye made her nervous then leave it and just use the ointment. Maybe edit your post - it sounds a bit like you flushed her eye with boiling water....I know you didn't BUT :)

Ummm I think I would be getting some saline and flush her eye out - making sure there is no Dirt/eyelash/etc.etc. If you cant get to the Vet or get someone to take her I would be heading off to the chemist to get some Golden Eye Ointment and using that in the meantime......if things get worse or if she is distressed head straight to the Vet.

+1 on the soup mix (I know how windy it can make humans) What about Chicken mince, I used to get it freshly minced (Bone and all) for about $1.50 per kg. cook it up and add vegies. I actually shared a house with a girl many many moons ago who insisted we saved all the Vegetable peelings etc. etc and these were cooked up and fed to her dog.
