That poor dog. I am appalled that they didn't have a conviction recorded against them. the fact that the fine was only $7,000.00 this of course will never be paid they will plead poor and probably had Legal Aid Rep. A three year ban on owning a dog is a Joke. If he is soooooo afraid of Doctors I would make him sit in an Emergency Department 1 night a week for that three years. The cruelty act has got to be made tougher.......RSPCA do their job and then these (can't find fitting word) get off virtually scott free

Thoughts are with you at this sad time. But Maui is why our dogs are called Mans Best Friend they understand our feelings and give us all the love we need. Stay strong with friends and the love of your wonderful dog you will get through this.

Afraid I would agree with you on this one. I was bitten by my daughters JRT x and finished up in hospital having surgery on my Thumb due to infection reaching the bone. I now have no movement in my thumb. Re-homing this dog would always have me wondering in case it did do this again to a child.

They are adorable and they all look a good size and even weights...I wanna kiss them all

What a beautiful dog. I have never seen a dog trained to do such a rescue. Fantastic and the pics really tell the story. I would like your Big Black Dog on the shore if I ever went swimming there. I will follow your training with great interest. :)

This is very sad.....BUT has anyone on that Forum offered her any help with the whelping... maybe DAVERI you could ask for local people with a bit of knowledge to help her out. When this girl sees the pups born they will be cute but she needs to know a lot more than cute. If I knew of a local case like this I would offer to help and also teach what is needed to raise these pups. I have done this with a SWF and found homes for all pups....the family realised that the vet bills for post whelp visit 8 week check.vac. worming, were as high as the desexing...so they learned that this litter was a lot to handle and also that it was not easy to raise a litter. They had her desexed as soon as the pups left. I know this is just one case but just think if we each did this for one uninformed person it might just help

Hugs Carlo, you have done a great job to rescue this girl and now have the vets advice on the Shampoo so it is all going in the right direction. If her skin has been a bit aggravated by the shampoo I am sure she has endured far worse in her previous life, just love her and keep up the good work.
