  1. Hi Shepherds, I am not sure if I can be of any great help, but my dog (6 years) had two teeth removed two weeks ago and recovered really well. I did notice she had watery eyes and it was quite smelly, Vet just suggested warm salty water to bathe them. I think if I was you with a 12 yo dog I would also be reluctant to undergo another anaesthetic in such a short time. The fact that your boy is not taking food, there is swelling and the eye is closing......sheesh I would take him back tomorrow if there is no great improvement overnight BUT would insist on them trying the XRay with you holding him....maybe take someone else with you to help hold him. I would also want to delay the Anaesthetic for a few more days if not longer as long as he is not getting worse. Sorry this is a bit of a ramble.....but I do feel for you and wish you and your dog the Best for a speedy recovery.
  2. Love it.......I am interested in one too Please
  3. Just a thought, has anyone tried Deer antlers for their dogs teeth ? I have one here atm and will try it with my Cav and let you know how she goes.
  4. Good luck give her a big smooch from us :D
  5. poor little fellow...have you weighed him ? does he look thin ? Has the vet checked his teeth - Cavs do tend to be prone to teeth problems. If this all started 6 months after moving to the new home I would not think it is environmental unless new plants - paving - rugs or like have been added. I feel for you in this situation as you do sound like you are trying everything to help him.

Meant to say too that this reminded me of a story I heard....lady goes to visit her new friend and is introduced to the Bernese Mountain Dog of the house...some time later the friend asks the lady "why do you keep calling my dog Bernice?" Lady replies "Oh - I thought you said she was called Bernice the mountain dog!" Bernice.....lol My Daughter was asked how her Son Denim was doing - His name is Levi.... Oh I knew it had something to do with jeans
