  1. We feed our dogs Natures gift, they get the semi moist bickies in the morning, and a bit of canned natures gift at night, and they love it One dog throws up all the time, but its heaps less since we've been feeding them natures gift, and the other one has beef related food allergies (so I only feed my two the chicken varietys), and her legs have cleared up (she used to have shocking dermititis on her legs, it was so red and sore looking, but now its all gone ). Im not a Natures Gift rep, just a happy customer, and Im more then happy to recommend the food since my two are doing so well on it, and cause they have such nice coats, ect. We used to feed them eukanuba and natures gift tinned food, but it got a bit expencive (cost per feed was low, but coming up with the money for a huge bag at one time was a little rough on our budget, so I put the dogs on natures gift bickies, and they love it, and look just as nice on it, and it costs us $6 per 1.5 kilo bag, which lasts us over a fortnight, which is much more managable , and the tinned food is around $2 for a 700 gram tin, which lasts my two three days) I like the fact that they are an australian company (made and owned), and that the food does not have presevatives or colours, and that the ingredieents are human grade, and its first ingredient is always meat
  2. The frontline stopped working here too, and after reading this thread I tried Advantage, and it worked! After all these months, and us being so damned desperate (and trying every damned product on the market for fleas) we finally found a product that works properly! The reason I didnt try advantage earlier was because I thought it had the same chemicals as frontline, but when I found out they were different, I thought Id get a small pack and give it a go, I just hope it keeps working now
  3. If its a hot, pleasent day, I towel dry them and send them outside to dry off completely, we're in Sydney, so we have some humidity, and they are usually done in around 5 mins, max. With my Malt I brush him before I send him out, and its so quick :p On cooler days I towel dry them then on the lowest setting, I use a hair dryer. I have a dog whos skin is easily irritated so I hold it further away for her, but it never irritates either one of mine, and my little lad loves it! Hes had the dryer since we got him, and he just sits back and enjoys, its so cute to see (hes the maltese so it takes a while to dry him with the dryer). But they both have lovely coats, and Ive never had a problem doing it either way
  4. We're in Blacktown, Sydney. Since weve been to some shocking vets, its great to have one that we're all happy with.
  5. We're in Sydney too, and are having the exact same problem I have tried every product on the market, Frontline worked for two days before my boy was covered in them again! Sentinal Spectrum and capstar (as recommended by the product label) made no difference, even after months of use, the spray on crap stinks, and only works for a day or so, we had no luck with flea collers. Ive steam cleaned my house, washed the dog stuff (and everything I could get my hands on of ours), I vaccume every second day, plus we only have one rug in the house, the rest is floor boards, and we are at our wits end! So I really wanted to thank everyone for the valuable information here, Ive come up with a new plan, which I really hope works, today I'm steam cleaning again, then giving everything a going over with eucalyptus oil and water, tomorrow Im reworming the dogs and cats (I did it two months ago, but decided to do it again because of the severe flea prob), Im putting rock salt in small containers under furniture where the dogs cant get it (I found this hint on a natural solutions website, can't remember which one, I must have looked at a million, lol), Ill add a very small amount of brewers yeast and garlic to the dogs meals, and put small amounts of apple cidar vinegar in their water bowl. Plus they are getting a flea bath today If this dosent do it, I dont know what will
  6. Our vet is close to home, he has after hours service, and best of all he knows what hes talking about, hes not pushy with the products he sells (as per a topic in general), and he has a clinic type set up, (with hours during the day set aside for surgery), so people can get into see him without an appointment (except for surgical cases, such as desexing), he takes in strays and animals dumped at his door (thats how we got our first cat, lol), and he explains whats going on with our animals in plain english, and if theres something cool to look at, he'll show us, and tell us what it all means for our pets. He is a very caring man, and our pets feel comfortable with him, and thats the number one seller in my book He also charges reasonable prices, and never tacks on extras to bulk up the bill, in fact when we got our cat he only charged us for his vaccs, and his microchip, he wormed him for free, and he charges one consult fee, even if we bring both dogs in for a check up Overall were very satisfied customers
