The Show Secretary is away at present Several people have not received their numbers and upon checking this with another contact they were given were told "all cheques were banked by the end of last week so if your cheque has not been banked then your entry has not been received". 2 friends posted their entries at same time at same post office and live in same suburb but only 1 received numbers. Go figure EFS -

I am pleased to announce that our homebred Collie Rough Bitch Boldfolk Amazing Grace was awarded Bitch Challenge, Best of Breed and Best Australian Bred in Group 5(13 point Challenge. " Gracie " was superbly handled by my dear friend Kerrie Warner(GSD's) :D To add to the wonderful day my best friend Katrine Staniland of Kinrina Rough Collies took her male that only needed 7 points for his Aust Ch Title . His name is Kinrina National Velvet aka Guiness. He was awarded DCC( 9 points and also Runner Up to Best of Breed) This gave Guiness his Australian Champion Title. A very special one as Katrina lost his mother when the litter was only 4 days old and had to hand raise the litter. Congratulations also to Alan Spargo( Pureheel Australian Cattle Dogs) on winning Best in Group then Runner Up Best In Show, George Gaut for BOB GSD and Runner Up Best in Group and also BOB with his Briard. Well worth getting up at Sparrow Fart. My compliments to the Show Committee for a well run show :D

Hi all I have been made aware of an 8yo Malt X that needs a new home. She was dumped at a pound, re-homed and then her "new" owner took her back to the Pound as they "wanted a puppy :D ". Her name is Gypsy and she is desexed. She is currently being fostered by my sister's workmate but she cannot keep her after Monday. She is located in the Latrobe Valley(Gippsland) Victoria area. if anyone can assist in finding Gypsy a Forever Home please email [email protected] . If my sister did not already have 2 dogs she would have taken the Gypsy dog herself. Thanks DOLers

It is with great pleasure and honour that I announce to you all that my very dear friends Carol Freeman, Fred Freeman and Kerrie Thompson of Calstead Kennels( Rough and Smooth Collies) have been bestowed with the Award of 25 year Membership of DogsVictoria( Victorian Canine Association Inc, formerly Kennel Control Council)! Calstead Kennels has been extremely active and proactive in the Breed and to be awarded this is just Superb! They have actually been financial members of Dogs Vic Etc since 1973. Carol, Fred and Kerrie- you truly deserve this accolade for all that you have done for "our breed". You have been and are always there to lend a hand to newcomers and some of us "older" members and impart your knowledge without hesistaion. May you be blessed with many more fantastic years in the Collie Breed. Colleen

It is inconsiderate IF adjoining rings are still being judged as could put dog/handler off. I know from when I judged at Obedience Trials people were NOT permitted in any ring that was empty untill ALL rings had completed judging for the whole trial. It is very hard to get a dog to Heel correctly if someone in an adjacent empty ring is practising exercises like Recall or retrieve dumbbell as from the dog's point of view that is far more appealing than boring heel work

Thanks heaps Sway, you're a legend

I think I have fixed it Sway if you would like to try again please
