Feel free to PM me for further info. She will at least tell you whether or not it is a ruptured cruciate ligament and then arrange treament( be it reconstructive surgery etc) as appropriate.

I am lucky too Morgan, my Vet never pushes anything past a C3 unless the person wants it. She has also adopted the 3 year protocol for vaccinations Sallydaog, have the owners of these dogs reported the allergic reactions to the governing body?go to www.avpma.gov.au and report it.They are very prompt in responding and will follow through each case. If ppl don't report reactions then everyone will think all vaccines cause No reactions

I am with Miranda here, I feed Eagle Pack Holistic and chicken frames etc and my bitch has never looked better and her stools are so compact and nicely formed.

I live in Gippsland( moved from melb) 4 years ago and I have kept my dogs on heartworm preventatives as we attend dog shows out of the area and also dog obedience. What part of Gippsland have your folks moved to? I am in Morwell(LaTrobe Valley)

How far is Surrey Hills to Croydon? I ask as a prospective puppy buyer( all going well with the whelping etc) wants to do Obedience with the pup. I have heard many good reports about Croydon and know quite a few ppl there from when I used to Judge .

jaybeece; if you are concerned see if your Vet will let you have your dog x-rayed and pay off the account by instalments, most Vets will accommodate your circumstances if you are up front with them. The sooner you know one way or another the sooner you can decide what is best for your furkid. Prayers that it is not HD

jaybeece- the only way HD can be diagnosed is by your dog having it's hips x-rayed. There is no age as to when onset will happen.

Ok, i have just got off the phone from EaglePack here in Victoria.If anyone wants the phone # please feel free to PM me. The hold-up is with Australian Customs . The massive supplies of EP is sitting in a container on the docks just waiting for the "ok" to get released to EP here and then they can get it out to the stores Pronto. EP are hoping it won't be to much longer but their hands are tied as Customs here as "extremely slow" so I was told. My advice- stock up until this debarkle is sorted

Checked my local Petstock this morning and they have a ggod supply of Eagle Pack at the moment but just in case I bought another 6.8kg bag of EP Holistic Duck and Oatmeal and told the owner I may be back to buy some more. According to him the EP is sitting on the wharves in containers just waiting to go through AQIS rules ( quarantine). Thank heavens i had the credit card on me and some credit on it. I will ring EP on Monday and try and find out what the delay time is likely to be as they are "going to lose a lot of customers", that might just get them to get AQIS to get their arse into gear hey. Keep you posted DOLers with what I can find out

I am another Eaglepack fan :D My girl, who is in whelp, has been on Eaglepack Holistic Duck and Oatmeal since mid May ( she is a Rough Collie that I show) and she looks so healthy and her coat is just stunning( ask Sagitarrian as she has seen her about 4 wks ago)

Yes i found out through local Petstock today that Danni is now with another company. The only problems they have had with EP is getting the Power formula as we have hepas of greyhound ppl down here and they love it for their dogs. They were going to rine EP to find out if operations were still to continue here in OZ Pity your store wasn't down here Sags- then we could get a choice of Nutro too

Thanks BB and Erny Erny, Maggie will be looking after Kal as she was always "Nurse Maggie" in our house( eg if we cut ourselves she had to supervise the first aid and when I was nursing Mum at home Maggie was always checking up om me to make sure I was looking after her Nanna properly). Everyone who knew Maggie was touched by her sudden passing. DOLers are compassionate people

good luck with this one as July 2005 I lost my Champion Rough Collie to IBD, just 2 weeks shy of her 8th birthday.I miss her so much . Has your pooch had endoscopy to confirm the IBD? Have you looked at Eagle Pack Holistic Duck and Oatmeal- it is specially designed as a hypoallergenic food?have a look at the eaglepack site as it does list all the ingredients
