  1. I am with poodlefan. I trust my Vet as she is up to date on all the latest( she lectures at Vet Uni).I usually do C3 every year but this may change if my Vet goes to the 3 year protocol
  2. I would be getting the blood tests and faecal analysis done asap. Your dear dog may have a condition like Inflammatory Bowel Disease and if it does you will need a referral to Veterinary Internal medicine specialist so they can assist you in getting your dog on the road to recovery. A faecal analsis and flot can reveal a vast range of issues, I am surprised none of the Vets have not done one. I lost my Champion bitch to Inflammatory Bowel Disease( she had it severe) and I would hate anyone to have their dog endure what Maggie went through.Maggie's symptons were gurgling tummy, vomitting, weird poops/
  3. Have any of the Vets suggested doing a faecal (poo) analysis? to see if anything untowards there? That is the first thing I would be wanting and blood tests.
  4. Ring Monash Vet Clinic( near Sandown racecourse) and try and see either Dr Ray Ferguson( does alot of greyhounds and GSD's) or Dr Mark Foley. These two are brillant IMHO and i would highly recommend them
  5. Revolution is Not recommended for breeds that are Ivermectin Sensitive Unless they have been DNA Tested and are Clear of the MDR1 Gene( breeds include Collies Rough and Smooth, Border Collies, Aussie Shepherds, Bearded Collies,Shelties, Akitas, Sighthounds and crosses of these breeds) as it contains as relative of Ivermectin. It can be Fatal if given to a dog that is Ivermectin Sensitive. If anyone wants any further info please PM me your email address and I will email you plenty of Info to show your Vet as a lot of Vets do not believe owners unless they can show them something in writing
  6. whereabouts do you live Bloss? I used to live in Melbourne so maybe able to recommend a Vet if I know one in your area or could ask my Vet for a recommendation( she lectures of Vet Uni so is well regarded)
  7. Ours are also EaglePack pooches and our puppy is on the Large breed adult formula
  8. Our Vet, who is also a Master in Veterinary Chiropractics recommends Glucosamine Hydrochloride, the human quality one that you get from Health Food Shops. I think MicroGenics make it. Glucosamine Sulfate can upset the tummy that is why our Vet does not recommend it.
  9. Well done on your Best In Show and good on ProPlan
  10. you can report the reaction yourself on that site and it is a common reaction to Rimadyl according to 2 different Vets I have spoken to. Seek another Vet opinion is what i would be doing
  11. This is a common reaction to Rimadyl yet Vets do not tell you this Report the reaction to www.avpma.gov.au and your Vet Metacam nearly killed my girl . have a look at www.dogsadversereactions .com- you wil be mortified as I was No more non-steriodal anti-inflammatories( NSAIDs) for my dogs Call your Vet and let them know, your dog may need to be rehydrated via a drip .
  12. Most PetStock stores and stores like 4 Paws and More will have sample bags of Eagle Pack etc
  13. westies a prone to an inherited skin disease called Atopy/Atopic Dermatitis- do a google search
  14. have a look at www.dogsadversereactions.com my girl had a severe allergic reaction to Metacam about 1.5yrs ago and was on a drip at the Vets for 3 days
  15. 28degrees is the temperature my hydrodath heats and stays at. If I want it cooler I just turn the heater off for awhile before I bath the dogs. You would not want it any hotter than that, you could burn yourself or your dog IMHO
  16. I can help with contacts for EaglePack if you need it- I know the Vic Manager PM me or email me at [email protected]
