  1. I don't suppose anyone has a catalogue that could give me details? We didn't enter but curious to see who we would have been up against. Thanks in advance if anyone can assist I am after Collie(Rough) Pm is okay
  2. We have only ever used Sard Wonder Soap It works a treat and is cheap to buy.
  3. "GoneWithThWind" "BlowingUpAStorm" "SunshineNRain"( as in KC and the Sunshine Band) "WhisperInThWind" "Stormchaser" I might be a bit late but at least some more names to think of
  4. I pray that these furkids are safely reunited with their humans and soon
  5. RIP Cooper Mine are never walked off leash. The ONLY time they are off lead is at home or at an oval nearby that has only one gate that you can close and they are safe in there as it is fully fenced or if we go to a friend's place who has fenced acreage so they can have a hoon there. I do not believe off -leash areas are safe. JMHO
  6. depends on the brand of triennial vaccination Mine have the Nobivac 3 yearly injection for dis/hep/parvo then annual intra-nasal vaccine(Nobivac) for Kennel Cough
  7. I agree Capanash. If it is an ANKC Title then it should be offered at shows in ALL states. My friend has a male that had to be desexed for health reasons but he is a stunning specimen of hisbreed(not a Collie) and he would like to get the boy in the Ring .
  8. I know that Calstead Kennels Rough Collie Calstead Activation(Puppy Class) won DCC, Puppy in Group and was waiting to go in for Puppy in Show Way to go Kez and the very handsome "Archie" Collie Smooth DCC was also Calstead Knls'- way to go "Duncan"
  9. Who were the Collies(rough/smooth) that won Best in Grp 5 and Inter in Grp 5 on Sat please? Thanks
  10. Thanks David , will send email to elizabeth white now
  11. Let's just hope that those of us with Council Approved Disabled Parking Permits will be able to utilise the designated Disabled Parking Bays at KCC Park for a change PLEASE. :D Everyone just be considerate and allow those of us with these Permits access to these bays. It is hard enough to even get to a venue then have to "argue" for a designated disabled parking bay with an able bodied person puts one off from entering shows. maybe as the entry is so big the wonderful Lillydale committee could have someone in the parking area to ensure that we have access to disabled parking bays ?? On behalf of all members with disabilities
  12. If my health were better I would definitely help out. I can sell raffle tickets etc so if I can help there please let me know
  13. Any Collie Rough results please?
  14. Our furkids has 3 yearly Nobivac C3(dis/hep/parvo) and annual Nobivac Intra-nasal vaccine for Kennel Cough. Kennels, clubs should accept this as it is AVA Protocol.
  15. I am an extremely happy Petplan policy holder. PetSecure is a totally different company to Petplan. One of my dogs was diagnosed with a condition with Petplan and the policy covers the condition for the life of the animal. PetPlan has the shortest waiting period(21 days), all the others have 30 day waiting period. With the majority of the companies you need to pay the bill first, lodge the claim and then any funds less any excess will be reimbursed to you(unless the treating Vet has an agreement with the Company to bill direct)
  16. Lea is often out taking individual lessons during the day. as other posters have said Lea holds classes every thursday night at KCC Park. I would try her at night or ask VCA for her email address as Lea does have one and is prompt in replying( I did have it but I have lost it in cyber space OLO)
  17. at myself Kezziah. I did mean to state 3 options.must have been the rain that made me do it
  18. For Pete's sake- it is only a bloomin' dog show! Take a reality check folks please. Do you really need that"fix" so badly to be bickering on a public forum like little children? Will it hurt you not to show for one weekend out of 52? I think not and I am sure your dogs don't give a hoot if they have to stay at home for one weekend. You are not playing for major real estate packages We have a few shows per year here in Vic where our breed cannot be awarded CC's because a Speciality is on that day and within 1000km so we either trek to the Speciality or have a pleasant weekend at home. These are the rules and as ANKC members we agree to abide by them each year when we renew our membership. if you don't like the rules you have two options as I see it; 1) petition ANKC to have it changed ;2) put up with it or 3) don't show. I am damn sure our dogs could not give a damn whether or not they went to a dog show. They prefer to cuddle up in the house and veg out! JMHO
  19. Stool sample and dog to the Vet-mucous in the bowel motion could be something minor or the start of more serious conditions such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease. If it were my pup would have it and the stool sample to the Vet as soon as. A faecel float and analysis needs to be done to rule out nasties. I too would not be worming a dog without vet advice with this type of bowel motion
  20. check out human medical suppliers for "kylie's"(used in hsopitals etc for patients with incontinence issues)
  21. Ok Dr Salter has just phoned me. In his very knowledgeable opinion (after speaking with the Vet in QLD) he does not believe this to be a thorough way of doing a "scale and clean" on a dog. The Vet who does this does it with ultrasonic scaler and not laser . He went on to explain that when he does routine dentristy with GA he normally does pre-bloods and IV fluids are administered during the procedure as standard practice. He understands that certain breeds like Collies do not blend well with GA's so he takes that all into account. After speaking thoroughly with him today our Collies will have a Dental check-up in doggy dental month(August) and if they need a clean he or Dr Coles will be the only ones we will entrust to do it. Have had too many 'mishaps' with GP Vets
  22. I agree wholeheartedly Cockerlover. How are things today Bonduca?
