Pet Friendly Caravan Parks - Melbourne
~Shepherd~ replied to judy69's topic in General Dog Discussion
I live in the next town and there arent any caravan parks out this way unfortunately. HEAPS of boarding facilities though. There is one in Warrandyte and a few North of the city in some dodgy areas. Are you planning on a long stay? -
Balance Between Your Fur Babies And Skin Babies
~Shepherd~ replied to CazReiAndKuma's topic in General Dog Discussion
I make it work, and I am far from organised. I have 3 girls 5, 3 and 11 months. I have 3 bitches at the moment (a foster) a whippety thing, and 2 White German Shepherds. I work 2 days a week and co ordinate a rescue. Day time is family focus, night time is dogs. They are indoors most of the time and do not get off their beds. I have trained them to slow walk when they see my kids. They all do. THey all get an hour off lead at night when husband is home, then they get constant training through the day through normal interactions. I am not exhausted, I just have made it my routine. I do have a supportive husband who does housework I have 3 easy kids who sleep 7am - 7pm I have and easy job I work with the best rescue people ever who are also my friends If this wasnt the case, things could be very different. -

Safe Non Sticky Sunscreen For Dog Ears
~Shepherd~ replied to ~Shepherd~'s topic in General Dog Discussion
thanks heaps PF. 2 of our fosters have some ear issues the poor little angels. They are in the best hands possible now thanks to Enigma!!! -
Recommendations please. Thanks

Dont blame the mother, blame the owner. Poor little kid, the dog should be PTS. The dog was out in public, its not ideal to approach a strange dog, but you need to expect that people will do that. So unless you have a bomb proof dog, dont do it.

Best of luck Bulldust. Thinking of you guys. Do they have a showground somewhere or an RSPCA considering its an emergency situation?

If you get a GSD, make sure its a White One :D

So very sorry Gayle RIP Beautiful girl.

ok, we like to network and help where possible as we fortunately don't get a lot of dogs and can assist other rescues at times in urgent situations. Thanks for explaining.

It sounds urgent. We may be able to help.

Anyone Want A Free Home Stay In Sydney?
~Shepherd~ replied to MadWoofter's topic in General Dog Discussion
perhaps we could fundraise and get some professional assistance considering how many people Woofter has assisted over the last few years with their dogs through fostering and for PACERS. I know this lady personally and have shared a home with her for 3 days. I'm not sure who the snorer was, I think it was Teebs, well lets just say it was Teebs. Such a fun witty honest down to earth person who gives so much of her time to others. This is a personal crisis and she needs help now. -
me, I would also like to touch on adding the importance of volunteers in the community (of all abilities) assisting rescues or pounds (or people of limited knowledge) in training dogs to have better manners. ETA when our new website is up, we have changed a few ways of doing things with surrenders. We have been bending over backwards to try and keep the dog and family together by assiting in implementing strategies to improve undesirable behaviours. We have managed to do this on numerous occasions now, by offering ongoing support to those who have called us to surrender. This support may be via phone, via visits or trainer recommendations, but its has worked and it just proves by adding a little support free of charge can change a situation dramatically.

Would prefer the steel tray, what was the quality like? I think the postage will blow us out of the water as its an outer area. Thanks again -

Thanks so much -
We dont have a great deal of money and have a dog in FC out that way. Can anyone remember the links to the reasonable crates in that size under $150? Is anyone doing a Melbourne to that direction run in the next few days? Could someone in the area lend one until we have it sorted? Thanks
