I WAS PLANNING ON MAKING IT A QUIET NON INTRUSIVE DONATION FROM A COMMUNITY GROUP. NEVER WAS IT ABOUT A DOG GROUP OR USING TROYS NAME. IT WAS ABOUT GETTING A NICE AMOUNT OF MONEY TOGETHER TO GIVE TO A FAMILY WHO HAVE BEEN TO HELL AND BACK. I have used other means of donating, as I said if anyone else wants to set something up from the interest in this thread please do so.

They have, and I was prepared to set something up, but some individuals are determined to make sure it becomes a negative exercise. I have been trying to google other means of donating. If anyone can come with any good ideas or want to collect the funds for "this community" let me know. I dont have the energy for further negativity surrounding this.

You'd have to speak to Troy if you wanted to do it on behalf of the Dogzonline forum as it is his business and he might not want the forum's name involved. Due to the trouble that certain individuals have already started to created, I will use my other networks to generate some money for these poor people. Obviously my other networks dont have the numbers behind them but I cant be bothered with the jealousy and bitterness that will overide what is suppose to be a nice thing. Thanks to all of you who wanted to contribute to this cause, through this community. Please proceed amongst yourselves, and sorry for withdrawing.

A diverse range of community groups offering support in my eyes is better than just a couple. Go and pluck your eyebrows or something.

I'd be happy to say its not even from a dog community. Whatever would cause the least amount of stress, and it doesnt have to be instant. Money would be good. How would we go about collecting?

I thought it would be great as a community to put our heads together and come up with some way to support the family in Melbourne who's daughter was killed by a dog last night. I dont know what, but I would like to spend some energy on doing something.

The focus has become about the dog. Get real, a child is dead, ripped open and killed by a DOG. The family needs support. I would like to do something for this family. Hundreds of people here that could put their heads together and make life a little better for this poor family. Nothing can replace this little girl, but I am sure the family would appreciate support in some way in the future. A holiday down the track, a gift, a kind word on a note?

Oh God RIP beautiful girl. The terror she would have endured through it all. Her parents......OMG how life can change in an instant. One of my girls is 3, so beautiful just starting to understand how the world works and having it all taken away by a vicious dog. So sad, so sorry :cry::cry:

He is a rescue from death row, arriving with us tomorrow, and will be advertised in 2 weeks after quarantine and vetwork. Never seen anything like it lol.. People ask what you have available and to explain to them that he is a ACD, Kelpie, BC, COOLIE, JRT, Foxie, Pom, Licorice allsort but only 35cm. Usually you can say a something x, but in this case its definitely a Pastie. Will get some pics tomoz.

A great explanation of the benefits of breed specific rescue Indigirl. I am actually a breed specific rescue coordinator and am fully aware of the way things work. Just sick of the dismissal of non ANKC registered dogs as they are obviously valued differently. I do get your passion of specific breeds hence my position, however due to the tiny amount of dogs they we get through we would rather not waste our resources and provide a service to all breeds on a small scale as we value all dogs. Sorry, been a shocking week and should not have responded.

Well how much do Bernese puppies sell for these days? At a guess $1000-$2000 each. Don't you think someone can put two and two together with the idea to make lots of $. Surely its not that hard for you to figure out. As are many other breeds free to good home. Many reg. breeders do the same thing, many dont. Not very clever to be bringing more attention to it either.

There are 1000's of dogs undesexed free in the papers everyday. What makes these guys any more special? Many simply can not afford the fee.
