My girls front nipples aren't being used much and I'm concerned about how solid they are feeling. She's got lots of milk and I think the puppies are way too full! Here you go Becks

Abby had her babies this morning :) 3 boys and 3 girls. All doing really well. She's a great first time mum. Very proud of her!

oSoSwift - I know!! She's nearly 3.5 years old now. Still nothing to see here. Due tomorrow. Her temp is hovering around 37.1-37.2... It was 37.9 this morning when I got up. Normal has been 37.5 She's sleeping a lot and is very uncomfortable. Hopefully tomorrow on her due date!

Wow, 14 puppies!! I hope your 11 surviving are going well :) My girl is still in one piece. No sign of labour imminent yet. She's just eaten her dinner and temp is still around normal.

A lot of people use Rowan Kilmartin at Animal Options in Ormeau. There's usually quite a wait to get in to see him though, unless you are lucky enough to score a cancellation.

We went for an xray today and the vet says definitely 7, two others possible. She really doesn't look big enough to even be having 7 definites! So I'm quite surprised. Four days to go for us :)

Congrats Angelsun! How is your struggler going Alpha Bet? Everything ok? Two more days of work and then I'm on holidays waiting... My girl is due on Monday and she is might uncomfortable. She gets up on the lounge and lies beside me and very softly groans as the puppies kick around.

We got the whelping box made last night. Just need to go out this weekend and buy some foam and plastic to put under it.

I'll be doing an xray the week before my girl is due. Just because I want to know numbers and how many to expect. Due to working, I'll probably do the xray on day 59. This is her at 3, 4, 5 and 6 weeks along. Bel - I hope you get puppies from both sires! Will be interesting to see the results.

This is one thing I also struggle with a lot. And it's evidenced in my dogs. When I'm not stressed, my dogs perform. When I am stressed, they play up. It's nerves, I've been showing for 3 years now and I still get nervous before going in the ring. I hate it, it puts my dogs off, and it puts me off. I keep repeating to myself in my head, go out, have fun, your dog will perform. I need to have the confidence in myself first, then I can have the confidence in my dog. I'll be concentrating on doing this over the next few months while my bitch is out of the ring. I'll concentrate on my dog, being confident in myself and him and knowing that he can do it. It's me that lets my dogs down. Funny how a lot of the comments have come from hound people! hah.

Guess we can be added to the list now! I've waited for this a long time and I can't believe it's finally happening. Very scared, nervous and excited. First litter for us and our bitch (and our dog!). Asalei Beagles - 15th April

She went head down, bum up about the 5th puppy... with 4 still to go. By the 9th, she was lying on her side, but we had to make her stand to let gravity help the puppy out. Just amazing! At times, we didn't even have enough time to cut cords, clamp and dry it off before the other was hanging out!

My vet is $47.20 and a 2 hour turn around. I'd be finding another vet!
