Thanks to everyone that has responded. I will be in touch with you all next week with a date to see who can come down.
-
Thank you for all the response, keep it coming and if you could add your email to your PMs. I should add you get to star in a photo with world famous Ralph. If you could all give me a bit of time to sort emails etc and breeds then I will sort a date and email who is available. Thanks again.

Perfect I bought 3 cards form Madeit of yours. I am going to frame them and put them up in the salon ;) Thank you that is so cool. Sis told me you had bought some.... coffee table book is in progress too.
-
Thank you. I will keep you in mind, I would like a Ridgie. If you can flick me PM with a email address and I will send you the time and date and you can decided to come or not. Boss will be fine as each photo is individual no other dogs with him in the photo. And I have a dog wrangler with me that does chicken noises apparently. Uhm yes please need a Frenchie. More broken the better. Can you PM me with a email address? Thanks to the overwhelming response guys. Really appreciate it.

I think it's worth a drive.... I should add I need a group of dogs but each dog is photographed single so if you are worried about being in a group with strange dogs that wont happen. Each dog gets there own space.

I posted this in general and though here too. I need the help of a few DOLers around Brisbane area. I need to gather a group of dogs for a photo idea. I dont care what breed you have as I need all different shapes and sizes. I just require you to be at a location (prob around New Farm) on a Sat or Sun afternoon. Pref a dog that is semi trained that knows "sit" or "down". Prob a little bit of patience involved from you too. If you are interested PM or let me know and once I have a few of you I will organise best time. Thanks.

I emailed a few people but for those who I missed sorry Can you let me know if you are available Monday 3rd May (public holiday), Time: 4pm, New Farm Brisbane Please wear - a collar that is roughly the same colour as your dog, use that. If you don't, just the plainest collar you have.

I own the 24-70 nikkor and the D700. What do you want to know exactly about the lens? This is my fav lens and its pretty much on my camera 98% of the time. It's a gorgeous versatile lens. Sharp, fast.... a top lens. But I have no idea about Sigma and if it's equally as good for half the price then look in to that. I love Nikon, but they really crank pricing to other competitors.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I will look into some fish heads for him and stick with the chicken. He never had to compete for his food, but I was warned he love his food. He is like Ralph - a pig and I have seen Ralph inhale a chicken wing and survive it. The thing is if I watch him and go over to grab something I think he is about to swallow he gobbles it down faster. Which then risks more chance of him choking. I am cutting bones out of his diet until he grows up a bit to realise food doesn't need to be inhaled. Here you go ;) .... Red shouting feed me.
-
Thanks everyone. So will he be OK just on chicken frames? Dont they need more variety in bones? He is only 16months so still growing (most of his bone growth done I would suspect). Should I give him the dry to supplement? Is Eagle Pack good food? I know nothing about premium food since Science Diet was all the rage. ETA: Sandra, I am so sorry to hear about your dog choke on a bone, that is terribly sad.

I had a incident this morning where Reddells was choking on a ox tail. He was laying on the ground struggling and instinct kicked in and I jammed my arm down his throat and bought it out. I was just glad he had tried to chew some of it to give me something to grab. I am shaking like a leaf right now. :D Now I am terrified of feeding him raw bones. He pigs his food and tries to get his bones down too fast. He was fed on a premium dry and fresh mince before. But I am a huge raw believer and Rocco did well on it. I give him chicken frames and necks, lamb flaps, brisket and pork bones. Chicken frames he is OK on it's the harder bones where he is lazy and doesn't chew just wants to swallow. What is my best action here to go back to the dry food for his safety? Can I teach him to chew his bones and stop pigging? Do I give him larger bones that he has to spend some time on? Or smaller bones that will fit down his throat?

Wow Bec thats awesome and exciting. Well done. I hope you asked for a 5D MarkII as payment? Hope you let us know when it all goes live.

Now to just give Tess that push... Tess if you are reading I second this. After seeing the work in the weekend you really are up there with the best of them and need to listen to Ash. There is a reason why we cant show our prints just yet, Ash will explain I am sure. :D

Pffft if anyone deserved to stand up there was you. Your work is incredible. Thanks everyone, it was a bit of a shock and I never expected to do as well as I did. I went to the 2 full days of judging and it was fanatstic insight into the professional world of photography. I found out lastnight that 500 prints were eneterd and only 10 Golds were awarded.... 3 of those Golds were Ash, Alexs and mine. We should all be very proud we have someone like Ash that shares her time with us to help and encourage us all. This photography section of DOL has grown some incredible talent. I also want to say the reason I picked up a camera was because of Rocco. He showed me my love for photography, he was my muse. I eneterd these awards for him and with Alicia's encouragement I owe this win to them. I now have my little trophy sitting next to his ashes..... couldn't think of a better place for it. Oh and maybe all the torture little Ralphie went through he should get a thanks....

Im just waiting for "PING" and you all collasping to the ground. Love Mungo. Three of the best breeds.... heaven.
-
Josie I love the B&W of the husky. Really nice contrast. Your doing some nice work, really pretty vibrant colours with your macro.

Have to really watch Red with little Ralph. He does zoomies and Ralphs legs just dont move him quick enough to exit Reds path. You see Ralph wanting to join in but he is just not confident enough. Im sure Ralph is thinking why did these go get me another giant.... give me something my own size to tackle. I forgot what it was like to have a 15month active puppy that just wants to have fun. You should come out to a show oneday. I will let you know when we are entered. Of course Red and Nala will be trialing soon... I would love to meet Danny soon too. :D
-
Thanks Ash, just dont arrive with that purfume Red likes.... I cant stop thinking about all this being over. ;)

Roc had the most amazing expressive face.
