Huga - congratulations on your new little man. I love your photography, you have a real eye for it. If you get these photos on a "point and shoot", yourself along with a DSLR would be unstoppable. Jag thank you for your kind words.

For me if it was camera gear I wanted and could afford I would be all over it. Get it I say. Oops edited as I forgot to vote.

Yep, it will be my next lens very shortly. I was thinking the 70-200 but thought it doesn't suit my style and it wont get much air time to justify the spend. 85 should get a far bit of use. If I do get a longer range lens I think I will just go for a 18-200 or 70-300 or something as a token lens to take to shows when I eventually start showing. You have the 18-200? What do you think of it?

Thanks CM. I just took 3 shots. One of the mirror, then Roc and finally Ralph placed in the positions. Keeping camera and angle all the same for each shot. Then over laid on each other in PS and cut out what I wanted. I had to think ahead and needed to get Roc looking down and Ralph looking up. So someone holding cheese in those directions.

Landscape. I am not a huge fan of a few styles of photography and one of them is Landscape work. So this is a crap really. I just cant get into it as it doesnt excite me. I gave it a go but will leave it for the people who enjoy it. Music. iRoc

Glass: what do we really see when we look in the mirror. Since it is Valentines day. Key: some girls are just waiting for that prince to unlock their hearts.

Kirislin, I just saw your post with the fires. I hope you are safe. This is all so heartbreaking. tlc no we are not twins, there is just over a year difference in our ages. Thanks for comments. I find it to hard to keep up and comment on everyones work, but I love looking at it all. These threads have been great and big thanks to Ashanali for starting them. For me personally, it has forced me to push outside the boundries and find there is more to photography then just Roc'n'Ralph and I am really enjoying it.

Tree Look up Eyes Mineral - make up (seems to be the rage now days) Portrait. People always say we look like twins so we did a shot to see if we did look alike. That is me until I can think of something for that last remaining subjects. Thank you for all your comments too.

Mixture of Photoshop and Lightroom. :D

These two I did but not on purpose for the treasure list, but they fit so will use them. Water: emerged in water is so peaceful. Home: Best friends: I took this just as a lighting feel, so no picture was intended. But it was so perfect in how much bond we have. Mobile: We live in such a digital world, I am always amazed at peoples obsessions with their mobile phones. Mobile junkies.
-
I started the treasure today. Pink: To me pink always means Breast Cancer. This is something very close to my family. So I thought I would express it in a photo. Child: A child can be a dog best friend or a it's worst enemy. Old: Corset. Vegetable: dont we all feel like we have have turned into a pumpkin somedays.

I would say any of those D60-D90 are GREAT cameras. Easy to use and start off on. I absolutely love Nikon and think it's a great and never change. But I have found Canon to be a bit cheaper on price with lenses and cameras. Not sure why this is as both seem equally good. So I would def do some research into Canon as well. Good luck.

rocco replied to ruthless's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos

Thanks guys for the tips on canvas places. I will do some research into the best price. Chloes Dad I just realised who you are on flickr. ;) CM and TLC thank you for your kind words on Roc. I think he is a big dreamy hunk of a dog as well..... little bias. But he is so patient and has wonderful expression to capture on camera and he makes it so much fun. I promise to get some Ralph-machine soon..... I just realised I have only done one of him. Poor little guy must be feeling like I've put "baby in the corner". My friend left her umbrella at my house so it became todays subject. Back in my new photography room... -

Great photo's again. It's too hard to comment on all the pic's. I generally try to comment on the stand-out pic's for me personaily. But of course they all have something special. becks like the street pic. Kirislin I have to say what a bunch of tosser those boy racers. that sort of behaviour really gets on my tit's. Great capture to report to the police. Huga love the pegs and the texture on it. PPS that horse pic is gorgeous. iltby nice self portrait and light. Very inspiring. I think everyone should do one so we can all see who we are talking to. CM great family portrait. Love the bricks too. TLC the solo dog in the grass is lovely. Riply nice colour in the pine cones. TerraNik funny the lady in the crate. Ravyk great light on the glasses. I have been wanting to do a canvas of my absolute pride and joy. Roc is my love for photography and my most fav subject. I set up a little room so I can use for photography. Moved all sis furniture out ;) and managed to get a series of the big guy. -

CM answer to your question is I direct everything. I am always moving her around how I want it. I think she gets sick of me as I can get alittle bossy. Ashanali thanks on your comment my sister is all good, she got grumpy tits today but I bought her muffin to cheer her up. Your pictures are divine. The sunsets are amazing. I haven't had a chance to look through everyones properly but I am sure they are all great. Had a play with some texture today.
