  1. Yes, I also buy it for mine. The premium foods for 3 dogs is getting a bit expensive on a single wage, so normally Coprice or Uncle Albers is also bought and mixed in to make things last longer Dogs do great on it !!! I get it from Petstock or any stockfeed store
  2. Yep, mine are treated differently. Cooper is older and much more trained than the young ones so he does not get crated of a night like the young ones, and I'm happy letting him do his own thing around the house. I am comfortable letting him off lead for a run because he does come straight back. He is not the type of dog that you give an inch and he takes a mile so is a joy to live with. The young ones I cannot fully trust not to get into mischief so they do have more house rules. However, they are getting much better and I am able to relax a bit more. They all get their own time with me, whether it be training or playing or cuddles and treats just because I them ;)
  3. Agree, I learnt one on one with a salon owner
  4. "oops" I didn't read it properly. Coles etc I'm pretty sure only have the basic lines from what I've seen .... possibly Petstock or something will have the wider range
  5. I see it in Coles and Woolies, also most pet supplies like Petstock etc
  6. I found with pugs a really good blow dry, quite high powered, and this is one breed I found a Furminator works quite well on
  7. Shiloh does this to Ryder all the time .... she tries with Cooper but he hates it and grumbles at her (in which she tries to do it more LOL) Doesn't bother me, just dogs being dogs ;)
  8. Cooper CDX title Shiloh Start some serious showing and gain some points towards CH title Start obedience training and then move onto agility (need to channel this ones cheekiness into something constructive ) Ryder Also start some serious showing and gain some CH points Start obedience training (am very very excited about him becoming a top competitor ... lots of potential shining through )
  9. You need to find a really special food that your dogs dont normamly get, and one that your dog will do anything for. If I use kibble or dog treats they will eat it but lose interest very quickly. It also needs to be soft and small so they are straight down the throat .... you dont want anything they have to chew much. I mainly use hot dogs and chicken loaf as it can be cut into small neat pieces and I dont get crap all over my hands. Cheese is good but will melt and stick everywhere.
  10. I used to put a coloured Zinc cream on one of my dogs. It is thick and being coloured I could see if he had rubbed it off :nahnah:

    Car Sickness

Ryder gets car sick, but I make sure he has not eaten anything prior to getting in the car and he's fine
  12. Thank you DogDude.. It was a very cold windy day on Thursday at the Royal. Even though we bombed in UD, I am very proud of getting a pass in Open. And I know that BC was very happy with her pass as it gave her boy his novice title.. Well done BC and Coopper Hey, thanks guys. Sorry DD, didn't see your post Yes, was a cold and windy day, plus I was also showing Shiloh. I was a bit flustered so I was very pleased with Coopers efforts such a good little man !! And yes, we are now known as Sparkling Cooper CD Thanks Kallistar and Tux
  13. Lort Smith offer payment plans so any treatment can be paid off
  14. I have and still do sometimes feed Coprice working dog to mine and have not had any problems. It is not my preferred food, however, when I'm out and the stockfeeds are the only place open I do duck in and buy 20kg's, its also friendlier on the bank balance. Mine love it and I have not noticed any difference in my dogs when fed coprice compared to the premium foods I usually feed
  15. Yes, it can be a dominance issue, and if it were my dog it is not something I would encourage. Humping everything is not a natural thing for them to do ! Basically, anything you dont want your puppy doing as an adult, make sure you put a stop to it now
  16. These things just happen sometimes I would also just clean it, and stop the licking, however still let air get to it......something yucky to taste should do the trick like betadine or diluted detol as PP suggested !
  17. My experience in this was only positive. One of my previous dogs was desexed at 5 years old, after desexing the need to mark everything was reduced quite a bit, he became more puppy like and enjoyed playing with the other dogs etc. It was like a weight was lifted off his shoulders so I am all for it
  18. The only person I take my puppies to is Robyn Jackson who runs classes out of Laverton Vet Clinic. This is prob too far for you, so ring around a few places and ask lots of questions. Make cure the class is not an all in, puppies running around together, jumping on each other etc. This only ends in tears, and can lead to some puppies becoming quite fearful of other dogs. There should be monitored off lead play or interaction, with only a couple of puppies, preferably of similar size off at a time. You should go through very basic obedience, and training techniques, and even taught more home skills such as getting puppy to relax etc. Your instructor should also give you information on a weekly basis on how to properly socialise your puppy and go through different stages such as fear periods your puppy will have. There are many puppy classes that are not run properly, however, ring around and do your research, ask questions and you will find one you feel comforable with
  19. Thankyou so much ~Harminee~, beautiful as usual
  20. Could someone pretty please make me a new signature ? Cooper Ryder Shiloh Thanks heaps
  21. When I need to pull out the big guns nothing here beats Liverwurst :D
  22. I would feed more lamb flaps as they will put weight on a dog.
  23. Way to go LP and Leo Brilliant work and finally up with the big kids. Sorry Cooper and I could not make it today. BC had dramas this morning and it was just not happening so we missed out
