  1. thank you So, a question. You can record the Dog Challenge winner, etc and the Best of Breed, etc, but where is the provision for recording Bitch results?
  2. Hope everyone has a fabulous time. Jan, it sounds like a great, sociable weekend. Some of our recent Darwin visitors are heading your way. Hope they arrive safely, they have had an *interesting* journey so far
  3. At least four of us have enjoyed the warmth of this jacket I can attest to it being stylish and warm.
  4. Darwin Royal over for another year. Lots of familiar visitors returning for another bout of Territorian hospitality plus newbies to meet and greet. Congratulations to all the winners and their connections. I have finished preparing the eCat show results, however need a couple of days for checking and also updating the Trial results before posting on the website. I am AWOL for a couple of days this week, however hope to have the website updated by next weekend. Thanks and kudos!!!! goodness, again another fabulous year with the wonderful Team. My partner Tony (aka Manuel Labour). Mr Greg the Grounds Wizard. Mel the Ring Steward. The gals: Carol, Chevy and Miss Moo. The Trial Team, including all the willing workers that move the courses, timekeep, etc. It's the only event in Darwin all year where we have side-by-side Show and Trial rings and we were lucky this year that very few clashes impacted on events in both rings. Our judge Andy, and his lovely wife Tiffany, were delightful to entertain during their time here. Many thanks to North of the Harbour for the sub-contract, especially given the stress with finding a replacement at short notice. Roll on to next weekend - Canine Expo and another 3 Shows.
  5. Greg Eastwood is truly a miracle worker. There are many clubs up here appreciative of his generous assistance. J, I read your message to Andy while we were kicking back and relaxing at Mindil Markets this evening.
  6. I get that little 'frisson of fear' each time I steward.
  7. .....and I didn't know!!!! Yay for Blaze
  8. Yep, that's right. Have only just finished typing up results for RAS and haven't started on the website yet
  9. PM, the Dog Area gates will be opened by 2pm. Group 5 judging starts at 4pm. You may be lucky with the car park because the evening crowd may not have arrived for the fireworks.
  10. Don't feel bad Sway. It happens. I am sure you will be forgiven. Especially seeing as how generous you are to many CLubs. It's when it's a repeat offender that Show Managers sit up and take notice. Even more so when Show Managers talk to one another ;)
  11. I saw the chit chat in the line up and was wondering. The whoop and holla after BIG made me smile. A popular win
  12. There will be a breed breakdown on the unofficial site, but not until next week.
  13. The first of the Darwin Royal passes and numbers were mailed from Winnellie this afternoon. I headed out to DODC training tonight and offloaded a couple of envelopes. Next plan is to head out to Fred's Pass on Friday night and Winnellie on Saturday night. Numbers: Trial - T01 to T70 Group 1 - 001 to 049 Group 2 - 050 to 080 Group 3 - 081 to 110 Group 4 - 111 to 135 Group 5 - 136 to 177 Group 6 - 178 to 199 Group 7 - 200 to 220 Thursday night - 55 entries Friday night - 102 entries Saturday night - 63 entries No major clashes (all paws crossed) between the Show and Trial rings.
  14. Home safely after a *fabulous* weekend Met some lovely people. Alice Springs canteen ladies are the most fabulous people in the world and thoroughly deserved their three cheers. .....and to the Lady of the Weekend... Erica, I love you LONG time. You are awesome!!!! I know the committees and the ever-supportive Bob are also awesome, but it's always a pleasure to work with you. I know your heart is imprinted all over these events. Best of luck to you and the gorgeous Carrie-gal for next weekend in Tennant Creek.

  21. I packed thermals and Alice Springs is having the most glorious weather The visitors from the North and South are having a most comfortable time. Territory Day, so of course the fireworks have been constant for a few hours. This place is so dry at the moment and I saw several grass fires after leaving the showgrounds and heading back from town Another two shows tomorrow, however a BBQ dinner afterwards, so not sure when I will get the results done. Then another 2 shows on Sunday. As usual great fun and showmanship.
