  1. Well I am a Brittany person, but Chazer adores little fluffy dogs, so it is tempting to get a small fluffy as well :) There are are few breeds I like, Havenese, PVGV, Lowchen. I love the look of Tibetan Terriers too and Chazer met one and hit it off straight away but apparently they are not normally a dog friendly breed so I struck them off my list. ETA he has an obsession with black and white Papillons, but they wouldn't be first on my list, Shih Tzus are cute too
  2. I think a GSP would be better build for agility, but I would recommend going to a dog show and meet dogs of both breeds and talk to some breeders, that should help in your decision
  3. haha, seen everything now
  4. I have no idea. I found out about it originally because the Flickr 52 weeks for dogs group administrator started a thread about it on flickr. This site also has a free comp that anyone can vote for, the prize is a $10 credit to enter the paid competitions, I had a quick look and the stuff on the free comp is not as good as for the paid comps, I guess the winners of the free comps are probably people who have got their FB and twitter friends to vote LOL - there is some great stuff in the paid comps though
  5. Just a heads up for a dog photo contest, there are cash prizes, $3 US to enter. There is 1 1/2 hours left to enter the current competition, but the competitions are continuous. The judge is a professional dog photographer. I was just flicking through the current photos and came across this one I love on page 5 http://i-shot-it.com/competition-photo.php?id=4fa5d54e407a8 - I am pretty sure it is legit, I entered the first competition and forgot about it until I saw something on FB this morning. There was only 1 prize to start with but now they also have placings which is great, I got a mark of excellence on the first competition with a photo of Chazer with the boss on a black board that I took for my 52 weeks of Chazer last year http://i-shot-it.com/competition.php?id=4ee730666f2d2
  6. Jack and Dash are adorable, great Anzac day photos of them. TLC she looks all rugged up for winter, it is a bit cold now isn't it This is Tilly's week 18 shot, took it while I had a load of washing on :)
  7. They are very cute, lovely photos of them
  8. I am looking forward to it. I was hoping Apple would be there too but they are not on the exhibitor list
  9. Anyone going to the PMA/The Digital show in Melbourne in May? I am going, I love checking out all the printing companies, and want to check out the world tours. And for once and for all I am going to speak to Canon and Nikon and make a decision on who is the best for me. The arts freedom stand might be an interesting one too Link: http://thedigitalshow.com.au/index.php/download-show-app/eshow-guide
  10. Best breed is a Brittany, nothing else comes close really :) smart, super affectionate, good looking, active Worst breed doesn't exist for me, some people have already listed breeds I love here so I think it is pretty irrelevant.

  12. TLC, love the trick very clever KumaAkita, great spot for a walk, love the photo Snook, looks like he is having a great time This is my photo this week, had to get in quick as I have too much to do - it is on the rail trail again, at least it is close by :) .
  13. Some people that work with a friend of mine had decided on a labradoodle, my friend who knows a bit more about them than I do advised them to do some research, they found enough info to make them change their mind very quickly. She made a few suggestions based on what they wanted from a dog which was mainly a friendly, smart medium size dog. They chose a Brittany and they now have their dog, and think it was the perfect breed for them, so maybe that is worth suggesting, they do shed but not as badly as some breeds so depends on priorities,
  14. Digital Camera Warehouse are also good in Vic and NSW http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au - but not quite as good prices as the Brisbane store - eta great helpful staff too
  15. Poor puppy, very sad for everyone, a good warning though.
  16. Not sure what you mean about the postive DNA result. All DNA tests that I know about (and there are no tests for my breed) give one of three results, affected, carrier or clear. This is my understanding - Affected cannot be bred, carrier can be bred to clear, and clear can be bred to clear or carrier. These breedings will not produce an affected dog and are considered to be safe. If clear is bred to clear the pups will be clear by parentage and do not need to be tested.
  17. Sorry to be absent for so long, things have just been a bit busy, so I am finally catching up and have enjoyed looking at the photos. Love your new puppy Shell, very cute and will enjoy seeing her photos Anyway, although I have not been posting photos here I have not missed a single week, so will show you 2 very important photo - it was taken on Tilly's 10th birthday, with her present, and added the rest to a little slide show if anyone wants to see them - I saw a few more of our dogs have had birthdays, so happy birthday to them too Tilly's 10th birthday And a birthday walk, both of these girls were 10 exactly 2 weeks apart, the girl on the left belongs to a friend, these two have always had fun walking down the beach together but we haven't done it so long we got together for a walk to celebrate their birthdays The catch up photos .
  18. OMG, lucky it was so easy to replace it, just proves what happens when something goes wrong
  19. Well if you are considering photomerchant, they use one of the best printers areound, you would have to drive all the traffic to your sight yourself though.
  20. I would say with your Brittany work on attention first and foremost. I just got myself another book, When Pigs Fly which is great. We did a seminar years ago with Gina O'Keefe from Perth who was absolutely brilliant, not sure where she trains but if I was in Perth that is where I would go
  21. I have a soft spot for Labradors because my first ever dog when I was a kid was a black Labrador. I really think if I did get one that I would do non agility things with it though, just personal preference.
