  1. I thought I did too at first... but the second "world'/moon seemed to want to be there..so... Thanks HEY! you edited that bit out I did, when I went back and had a 2nd look I decided the 2nd moon was good LOL, great minds think alike
  2. My dog drops very quickly, I think it is partly personality. An easy way to polish up any behaviour though is to use clicker training, only reward the faster drops which should very soon start to become quicker and quicker.
  3. The hardest thing for me if I enter too many is walking the courses - they all happen at once. At the local trial I even forgot I had entered a particular event (snooker) and they called me as I walked past, I said I hadn't entered but I had, needless to say when I stopped looking for another red obstacle Bella just said well I am going to keep going so failed pretty quickly Even more fun if you have 2 dogs running in pairs, trying to remember which parts of the couse you are running with the different dogs. I have decided that only one dog per strategic pairs event is ample LOL
  4. Beautiful photo Ripley, especially love the 2nd last one
  5. There are also a couple of workshops in Melbourne during the winter for members only
  6. It is probably worth considering why the dogs are jumping the fence, have a look at this link for somewhere to start http://www.paw-rescue.org/PAW/PETTIPS/DogT...enceJumping.php
  7. I didn't learn from a book so can't say from personal experience, but there are books and DVDs This website has recommended books and has several clicker training books under the 'general' category - http://www.clickersolutions.com/reading.htm - Complete Idiots Guide To Positive Dog Training is a great book which does cover clicker training and is very good on the theory behind the training as well as for practical training Books also on this website - http://www.clickertraining.com/ Are you going back to obedience aranyoz?
  8. Ripley, it is good to know about the competitions, they are not bad, you just need to check out terms to make sure you are willing to oblige - if you are not interested in using the photo for anything else then it would be an excellent comp
  9. I ordered from them and it arrived quickly, but it was a few years ago. The new book looks great, might invest it in myself.
  10. That is usually the trade-off for the big prize compeitions
  11. Great prizes but you need to always read the fine print (terms & conditions) before entering any competition This is part of their terms, taken from the website 7. For me I would be happy to post an image (if I actually had one worth entering) but you need to be aware of the conditions
  12. I like a book called The Betterphoto Guide To Digital Photography by Jim Miotke - http://www.amazon.com/Betterphoto-Guide-Di...7260&sr=1-1 - it is a great beginners book and covers exposure but many other subjects as well
  13. Thank you so much. I have just bought both of them. Have you had a chance to read any of the e-book yet? I have a paper copy of the book and love it. The other book must be new and I haven't seen it but it looks worth the money to me
  14. I would love to try and do some more landscapes, thanks for the filter info
  15. luckydog, will be looking out for some brags shortly, good luck with the trial
  16. You Sydney people are lucky having her close
  17. This makes more sense to me for any definition of cheating, but I don't have a problem with people doing this sort of editing for professional shots, but I think in the competition sense it is different
