  1. Great photos. Love the Christmas ones, and the photo of St Nick next to the blue crate is so cute
  2. Good point, there was contrast but only in the dog, not in the background
  3. They are very considerate of the dogs. One of mine was scared of the barking dogs so when I picked them up they said they had moved them to the end to be away from the others. When they brought the dogs out they said the quickest hello to me and then went straight to the food room LOL. The one that was scared can be a little bit wary of strangers but I knew she was well looked after when she pulled me into the door on her 2nd visit.
  4. how cute, love the cats especially, that hat is great
  5. How cute. Great dane is very relaxed in the 2nd photo I am going to cheat too as I have taken some more
  6. Just a thought - would it be worth changing the subject heading when adding new items so people can see what is currently being auctioned? $10
  7. Who has links for the Edge and Nulab?
  8. The original is a brighter photo. To begin with I preferred the original, but I made it more extreme to show the difference and decided that maybe I like this better I think a test print is in order
  9. OK, now I have to ask because I am not confident about vingetting yet. I took this for a friend today, not sure which is better, with or without, opinions greatly appreciated
  10. I have been using multiply for vingette, I like this - what do others think?
  11. I have never tried the Edge or Nulab, but have used DW. I did test prints with a few different labs and DW came out far better than anyone else. DW had every bit of detail printed, lines in buildings, white hairs on dogs etc, that ended up as blobs with other printers. Would be interesting to do a test print with edge and nulab though ETA DW service for me has been brilliant. I have phoned a couple of times for advice and had excellent service, every time I have sent a print (always get them in early) they have been sent the same day. Only delay I ever had was the other day with Australia Post truck blockages
  12. Maybe it is a photography trend - sometimes it can make photos worse rather than better too. I just printed a photo with a very slight vignetting and quickly removed it for re-printing
  13. Thanks everyone. Will check out the places mentioned, I also found a broker in capture so waiting on a call back
  14. For those doing photography as a business/income, who do you have public liability insurance with?
  15. So many great photos. I haven't taken too many, so don't have to look back too far: Ooops, this one makes four, but it is a special birthday shot of Bella who just turned 10 and Finn who just turned 11
