  1. I would love to do Chazer too but cheat and just add Bella's when I dont have time to do both
  2. Great photo. Now take this with a grain of salt because it depends what look you want, in the edit the main guy and the guy in the shop stand out more which is good, but on the bad side the skin tones are more natural before the edit. Also Look at the door frames that are black, at lot of detail has been lost as they have become too dark
  3. I looked at them and seriously considered purchasing a camera but changed my mind at the last minute. When you look at their warranty is says DWI warranty - this indicates to me it is a grey market camera, so warranty not covered by Canon. With grey market you might get a perfectly fine camera, but you don't know for sure what you are getting, they can be 2nd hand, or returns of faulty equipment that has been repaired, see this link about what grey market is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_market I know you can get the real deal from the USA for not much more http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=C...itialSearch=yes it is $399 US and about $60 shipping, they have great prices on memory cards so I would definately get one from them at the same time, I purchased a lens from here and got 2 memory cards, no extra postage. Only 1 was for me and I am kicking myself I did not get another 1 or 2 for myself as they were on sale - one note with B&H is that some items have 2 options, full warranty or grey market warranty, so I would always pay a few more $ and go for the full warranty as item can be repaired here
  4. TLC - Why don't you do the project, choose one dog and add the photos here anyway
  5. OK, here is mine http://www.flickr.com/photos/rivamist/sets...57623010630145/
  6. I am in - Should we put in a link to our Galleries so we can see everyone's? Anyway here is my 1st week photo I was a bit embarrassed after someone from DOL sent me a link - the list owner did a photo of her dog with a star biscuit on his nose before Christmas - I had not seen the photo (I swear) and I got the biscuits from the big day out - weirdest thing is that the people I got the treats from had 4 different biscuits, different flavours and shapes, and Bella rejected 3 before she finally ate on of these cheese flavoured stars
  7. Actually I think if they are using the photo for profit they should be paying you for it
  8. I would have come and had lunch or something if I knew you were there
  9. Oh, that sounds way too scary! You guys are way too good for me - but I'll enjoy seeing all the photos . Besides, think I missed today ... didn't use the camera once. Not at home, unfortunately - strict number restictions where I live . But one of the girls will be living with a friend of mine in co-ownership for me to show. And St Nick will also be co-owned if he turns out nice It is all fun and who could resist these beautiful photos And BTW St Nick is already perfect
  10. I have to show my mother that one LOL - that is her favorite food. I always give her some Darrell Lea allsorts in with her Christmas present
  11. Nikons are great. I went camera shopping intending to get myself a Nikon but when I went to the shop and held the cameras and played with the menus I walked out with a Canon, but reviews see to be a bit better for the Nikons - here is a good site that reviews cameras for you to look at http://www.dpreview.com
  12. Anyway this is my photo for today. I can't believe it is day 4 and I am still taking photos (I had photographers block for 2 years after all). I took this one today of Bella. I just joined a flickr group that clicking mad is also in called 52 weeks - http://www.flickr.com/groups/52weeks4dogs/ - the idea is that you take a photo of one of your dogs (same dog all year) each week and post it to the group. I thought it was a fantastic idea and wanted to try and take a lot of different photos throughout the year. The first one is a lot different for me - Bella didn't know this trick so I spent a few minutes teaching her and got snapping very quickly as I had no-one helping me - proves you can teach an old dog new tricks

  19. I think you just hit the nail on the head here. In the Brittany there is less division of show/field dogs. In USA Brittanys have more Dual Champions (field trial and show) than all other Sporting breeds combined, although of course there are also breeders who are only field and breeders who are only show. I am not a hunter, but have taken my dogs to the odd training day, as I was interested in trialling before I decided agility was my favorite activity, and one the dogs also love. Because I don't hunt with the dogs myself I would never go telling people what great gundogs they are as you will never really know, and not being a hunter yourself you wouldn't know how to select a dog for a hunting home, however I would be very confident on suggesting a dog for someone wanting to to agility or obedience. The funniest was Bella's first go at finding and pointing game. She was sent off with a pointer. Before we started I remember being told the Pointer would always find the game first because they have a superior nose and not to be disappointed. Bella knew exactly what she was there for, went straight to where the bird was, she new it was there before we let her go. The Pointer was still searching for the bird some time later LOL. The Brittany is popular with hunters in Australia, I have had my dogs around the gun club to test them with gun fire, you get swamped by people when you walk in with a Brittany
  20. You should join the photo a day challenge and we can see a new cute puppy pic every day http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=185352
