  1. The boarding kennel person might be this person http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/member.asp?name=LIKREN - she used to breed Brittanys, she also runs a grooming school and is a master groomer. If they are not still grooming themselves I am sure she could recommend someone
  2. Hi, I have just got a video camera, but the software editing program doesn't seem to do much except for trim, so cant add text or anything. I was wondering if anyone can recomment a good freeware program to use that can add text, transissions etc
  3. I know someone with a 7D who loves it, they upgraded from a 40D. B&H photos is USA offer full Canon warranty as well as some grey stock, so they are a safe bet. I phoned customs and they have all the info on import duty, you pay if over $1000 AUS but for camera equipment it is not too much to pay, but for video it is different rates, not sure how the 7D rates as it includes video, but give them a call, they are very helpful. For australia try Digital Camera Warehouse http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/ I went here, DWI has grey market stock so depends whether you want that or not

  8. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/kylies-ca...o-1225843069123 Kylies capture Digger's heart Ian McPhedran From: Herald Sun March 20, 2010 12:00AM Increase Text SizeDecrease Text SizePrintEmail Share Add to DiggAdd to del.icio.usAdd to FacebookAdd to KwoffAdd to MyspaceAdd to NewsvineWhat are these? Adam Exelby and the two Kylies in his life - his wife and the bomb-sniffer dog who was also ring-bearer at his wedding. Picture: Craig Greenhill Source: HWT Image Library ADAM Exelby spent 24 hours a day, seven days a week with his sniffer dog Kylie in Afghanistan in late 2006. When the decorated pooch retired in 2008 after tours of the Solomons, CHOGM in Brisbane and Afghanistan, Cpl Exelby, a six-year army veteran from Brisbane, did not hesitate to adopt her as his pet. Then he met a two-legged Kylie, the woman who would become his wife. Cpl Exelby has always been a dog person and was relieved to discover that his future wife was also an animal lover. The couple met in a Sydney bar in 2008 and it wasn't long before Adam proudly produced photos of himself and the other Kylie on the job in Afghanistan. "I laughed so hard when he told me that his dog was called Kylie," she said. "After we met, when Adam went to work his mates never knew which Kylie he was talking about." Start of sidebar. Such is the bond between soldier and dog that most of the explosive-detection dog handlers at the School of Military Engineering at Moorebank in Sydney have adopted their charges as family pets, particularly those who have been deployed on operations. Cpl Exelby and the 10-year-old kelpie cross worked, slept, ate and risked their lives together during their seven months in Oruzgan province. The dog was a four-year army veteran at that point and was a great morale- booster for all the Diggers she encountered. Kylie was drafted off the street as a two-year-old stray and, like all good bomb dogs, was (and still is) a frantic retriever. The dogs are selected for their obsessive ability to retrieve a tennis ball, and the ball remains their reward throughout their service. "She still loves the ball," Cpl Exelby said. Mrs Exelby, whose dad was in the army, says her namesake is very independent and strong-willed - (a bit like her) - and became quite jealous when the new woman came into their lives. "I am just as stubborn as she is and now the boys know which Kylie is which," she said. At their wedding in January this year, Kylie the dog took pride of place as ring-bearer and sole attendant. "Everyone loved it," Cpl Exelby said. "She fitted in really well and when the crowd was cheering Kylie was barking away."
  9. Great idea, thanks. Would have even looked better if she was wearing the lovely collar you made LOL - that is on the shopping list too
  10. Thanks, I see dollars flying out of my purse, I want to print this up as a montage (can't spell trypich???)
  11. I think they are great, I wouldn't edit them too much if it was me. I would just like to see the whole ear in the 2nd photo, just personal preference
  12. Thanks, it took some patience to do on my own LOL
  13. Great shots, maybe a couple of dogs are going to need a bath LOL I have been thinking up different photos I can take, and I figured Bella is a bird dog, so why not take a photo with some feathers. I was pleased with the result, but it was probably the most difficult to date. I did it on my own, got Bella to stay in spot, used the timer and ran over and started throwing feathers. Luckily she is such a good dog. You can see one of the attempts below, thought it was so funny I had to share
  14. Would love to hear what they are like, also the new cards if anyone gets some. I have made a few calendars recently, they are just fantastic
  15. Bella would be a super model and a socialite using her charm Tilly would be a doctor/nurse, she is always cleaning and looking after the other dogs Chazer would be a cop
  16. hye is beautiful, good luck with the showing
  17. Great photos. We went to the Finnish Lapphund Club picnic today, so took advantage of the beautiful models for this week's photo of Bella
  18. If you want to eat when you stop over, stop at Geelong at the waterfront. It is a nice walk along there, and there are some new eating places across from the carasoul (near Moorabool St) where you can sit outside with well behaved dogs and eat
  19. the vet who made VAN produced it as an alternative for those who did not have time to prepare their own barf diet. He says in talks himself that BARF is better but if you can't do BARF its was made as an alternative

    Peta

Or to form a more balanced perspective try the PETA website. You'll find quotes such as "There's no such thing as a responsible breeder." Meaning, rescue, don't buy from a breeder. Is that what PETA says, or what you say? Read all about it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PETA

    Peta

Peta believe amongst many things that no one should have pets, so if they have their way you will never have another dog, cat etc etc as a pet. They plan to do this by having every pet animal de-sexed Here are a couple of websites I found on a google search http://www.petakillsanimals.com/article_de...cfm?article=134 http://www.targetofopportunity.com/index.html And a new news article http://www.petakillsanimals.com/ do a search on dogzonline for Peta and you will find out more about them too
