Happy 10th birthday, she sure had a great day by the look of the photos

I have two Shar Pei too. Got to say they are both pretty good looking as well. If you are interested in Shar Pei and rescue dogs please feel free to join our facebook page - Shar Pei Rescue Australia Maybe you could do a Shar Pei Calendar Helen?? I have done some rescue photos in the past. I found what worked well was taking photos of as many dogs that could be used on the websites, petrescue etc. Worked well in finding some new homes. This calendar is for my personal enjoyment and as a personal project more than anything, and I have taken some shots I am really proud of along the way which is great for the people volunteering their dogs as models. I will make a calendar and put it on my Redbubble site because the quality is great, but the chances of actually selling anything on there are pretty slim, and it won't be advertised There is a heap of awesome work on Redbubble though from many people the world over, they should be more popular, I think they should give the calendar shops a run for their money.

Great shots, looks like I am the first for week 32 This was taken outside a restaurant/wine bar (The Edge at the Geelong waterfront), they have these boxes all along the side of their outdoor area, they are mostly filled with food items like bread, onions and fruit, until you get to the end, there are 2 rabbits, then these Bella look-alike vintage dog statues, then a leg with a ball and chain. We have been walking the dogs and stopping at this row of shops since they opened for business maybe 2 years ago, but I never noticed this box until yesterday. I couldn't believe this perfect photo spot for a Brittany had been right under my nose for so long and I didn't even know. Today I just waited for the rain to stop and away I went, Bella even cooperated and looked in the right direction for me, what a super model.

Poor Griffon, must have been all the excitement of the ocean. Chazer went for a walk this afternoon down there, he has pretty much flaked it too

Thanks to Pom who made the trip to Geelong with Griffon, her gorgeous boy - here is one of his photos

Have fun there! Unfortunately we won't be there. It's the weekend before we arrive. Bummer, Kyla's mum thought you might be there

Everyone in Melbourne, Geelong is not that far to drive :D I do have another spot in Melbourne I want to check out though, around St Kilda
-
Mortonplace - I won't say no to any type of dog, I just listed some of my favorites that I don't already know someone close with the particular breed. Shell & Terranik - I got a phone call reminding me of a certain picnic in September I have to go to, so will bring the camera :D Don't know what the place is like though as I haven't actually been there before, only driven past. ValleyCBR, how long is Lincoln here for?

Can I Take Another Dog To The Melbourne Show
helen replied to Gamby's topic in General Dog Discussion
I would ask Clive -
Have been having some fun taking lots of photos. I have been given models that have been ideal for city/urban photos to start with so want to continue with that theme. Let me know if you have a dog that is fine in an urban/city environment. Here are a few for starters, still have heaps to work through

OMG, how awful, RIP little pup

The main difference between amateur and professional is that one charges. There are brilliant photographers who are amateur. I recommended public liability insurance because if an accident happens and you dont have it you risk loosing everything. Also working along side another photographer and seeing what can and sometimes does go wrong convinced of of the need for back ups of everything :-)

they seem to enjoy the snow

What's A Good Way Of Entertaining The Dogs?
helen replied to Pawfect's topic in General Dog Discussion
My dogs love these http://aussiedog.com.au/index.php?main_pag...products_id=186 - they are treat balls but the beauty of these is that they have a marble or something inside so even if the food runs out the dogs still enjoy playing with the ball - just in case -
Good idea Tess. Shell, you have to give us a link to the website now you realise
-
If you are going to start charging then you will need to consider a few basic requirements: - public liability insurance - If you are being paid you will need a backup set of equipment so if anything eg camera fails you can still produce the goods $30 seems too cheap, think of how long it takes to get the photos and edit them, costs of equipment and insurance, it would quite possiblty cost you more than this to produce the photos. Also you will need to use a good professional printer, no point charging for big W, snapfish and kodak prints, do some test prints youself and compare the difference between printers, because there can be huge difference

RIP poor little pups

looks like Huga is the only one to complete the challenge so far
