  1. The reason I dont mind being photographed is because I can understand the photographers are not stalking but trying to create something great. If no street photography was allowed so much history would be lost including every day life which would be terrible. Having said that my favorite photo i have ever taken with magic lighting was a group of kids I dont know. Only a few people have seen the photo as i decided i didnt want to publish it without permission. . I dont do that type of photography much and regret not finding the parents and sharing. I know someone who does street photography and will let people know afterwards and sends then the photo. On the flip side on the world wide photo walk some of our group were approached by people desperate to be photographed LOL
  2. I have had both of the first 2 situations and it doesnt bother me at all. One person said they were taking then 4 facebook and we posed with her son at the cafe
  3. So many beautiful dogs Not easy to pick one My favorite of Bella, doing what she loves best My favorite of Chazer, I haven't taken a photo of him for a long time so it is an oldie
  4. just make it fun and don't expect to go for too long as they will get very sick of it after a while
  5. sorry to hear about Harry, terribe news, RIP Harry
  6. I did a 365 in 2009 (geez, that seems only yesterday!)... It was hard, but I felt I had sooo much more time! This year I think I got to Day 122 before I realised that all my energy was going into my uni work and I just didn't have the motivation or time to come up with anything creative. It just wasn't fun anymore and I knew that if I kept going I'd end up resenting my camera! I did get a lot out of it though... The majority of my shots had me in it. I wanted to do one month of self portraits and managed to keep going until Day 73! I used to be really self-conscious in front of the camera, and now it's not THAT bad... :D And I am really happy with most of my shots looking back... at the time I didn't though. So maybe I'll give it another go next year... I can only try! good job there, I say give it another go in 2011 It is one big task Maybe I could join in with my little point and shoot
  7. beautiful photos and they are very cute puppies
  8. It can be hard sticking to a photo a week, the people who amaze me are the ones that do the 365 project, no way, I couldn't even do it for a week (I tried once). They way I figure it though is that the photo doesn't have to be special every week, but it usually has some sort of meaining to me, and poor Bella is not getting any younger so the photos are all going into a book for myself as well as some that didn't make it as the main photo - on the weeks that I made a big effort. Am thinking of doing Chazer next year.
  9. Terranik, are you going to re-join us? Would be great to see some more of your gorgeous crew. No shot of Bella this week. She was de-sexed on Monday so she is having a holiday from modelling, will make sure I get and do one next week.
  10. of course everyone loves taking photos of Sydney Harbour Bridge
  11. great photos TLC. I really love the 2nd photo, but I guess that Cooper isn't the main focus, it is the cute one jumping, which one is that? ETA - I am pretty proud that I can pick Cooper out of the group shots now without even thinking about it after looking at his photos all year
  12. poor thing, glad he is much better now
  13. Those eyes in the first photo make you melt
  14. The reason why I suggested a standard zoom is because it is more versatile, if you are on a budget it can be used for multiple uses. I know it has been mentioned prime lenses are sharper and that is what I use myself, but if your budget only extends to one lens you are IMO better off with a zoom

  19. They are nice, this is the guy in the UK that I really love, he has really got a great eye - the gallery takes a while to load but is worth it http://www.pawspetphotography.co.uk/paws_p...phy_gallery.php
  20. If you don't know how to approach things it is easy now with flickr, just make your images available for licence through getting images
  21. Well you know there is only one gundog breed that counts
  22. the first photo I saw it looked like the dog hated it and its head was down. I have heard of the stuff being used for training treats so it really made me wonder ETA - At least I can see some enjoyment in your photos
  23. LOL. I saw this in the flickr 52 weeks and had no idea what she was talking about but now seeing your dogs doing it I am figuring all dogs have the same reaction - still haven't worked out of they like the stuff or not
  24. For a portrait lens I would try to get something even longer than 50mm - if your budget is tight then maybe consider a standard zoom lens, some of the cheaper ones go to 70mm and others to 200mm, check out this page http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/category707_1.htm
  25. We met a few Aussies last year, they were from interstate and had come to look at the ground before the specialty the next day, they were beautiful dogs.
