  1. Would be worth looking at a Brittany. They are medium size and probably on top of the list of breeds that love people. My dogs will actively seek pats from people. I have done obedience as well and they do enjoy it. If you dont want your puppy to jump up on your daughter (regardless of breed) it needs to be trained not to from the day it arrives home. Have you considered going to a show to see different breeds a nothing is better than seeing them in the flesh
  2. I have used Blurb, did a book of the photos from my 52 week project last year. The book quality is great. The printing is OK, passable but not perfect. I would use them again for a book for myself, a good option to a professional printer who would charge lot more, but of course they produce a better product. If I get around to it I am making a diary for myself with blurb :-)
  3. Sorry to hear about Flash, he was a real cutie
  4. this thread is getting very quiet :-) Great shot of Marlo here is mine this week, didn't go very far, just sitting on the couch
  5. hate people who steel photos. Not only did I have a photo stolen, they did some tacky little kitch edit and sent it around on an email list and said everyone is free to use the photo Idiot who stole it didn't care when I contacted her
  6. Weibritty - that was my favorite too Marlo is looking very cute as always MTD - looks like a spectacular view there Here is Chazer's photo for week 45 - the photo I just had to take (bottles are Brittany and Champ) - thanks to the coke marketing gurus. Chazer learnt this little pose at a canine freestyle seminar we went to with Sarah Trembath, she makes tricks so easy to teach
  7. I got some free prints, can't remeber what it was with, I was so unimpressed I chucked them straight in the bin- but I am a bit of a stickler for good printing
  8. Great photos everyone, I have missed a few weeks, so caught up and really enjoyed them all, but I am a sucker for sunsets :-) This is mine for week 44, time for a family shot of Chazer with his mum Bella, two smiley happy faces - Weibritty had a photo for Chazer for week 43 that was very cute, maybe she can do my week 43 :D
  9. Numbers so mean they got your entry, so important if you have a decent drive to get there
  10. still waiting for mine, but my cheque was also cashed a few weeks ago, just checked, so hopefully it will come today. First breed specialist we have had since I have been showing, for about 11 years (although not always regularly) so I am excited
  11. Well the forecast for tomorrow is for rain easing, so fingers crossed for a break in the rain. The forcast for Monday and Tuesday are looking a bit better at least. I will have my mobile on me if you can't find me After last year I thought we deserved a nice rain free day - Our specialty started right about the time the torrential rain started and everyone ended up looking like a drowned rat, dogs and people, poor Chazer hates the rain and was like a sad sack till we went and did QC sweeps inside and he floated around I suppose I could use the excuse that he hasn't seen much rain in his life, has nothing to do with being spoilt at all
  12. That is because we also have our specialty show the same day. The one I am hanging out for though is Sunbury on Tuesday as we have a breed specialist, but I don't have numbers yet. Is anyone else waiting on Sunbury numbers? Weather permitting I will be taking photos at the gundog club too so am looking forward to that. A map of the grounds has been placed on the gundog club of victoria too
  13. "In another major shake-up, it will become compulsory for every dog and cat sold in Victoria to be implanted with a unique microchip number that must be quoted in advertisements and at points of sale." This is very worrying. What is to stop someone stealing your dog, they know the microchip number, just have to forge a signature to change the details, very much a privacy concern
  14. I find b&s white easier then color, but use ps. If you are struggling apparently Silver Efex by Nik Software is excellent. You can trial it and their products work with lightroom. I keep meaning to download a trial but have never got around to it
  15. I just purchased a full download copy (you need to choose the AU store) from adobe and it was $124 AU. $40, maybe a crack code? have you been able to register it?
  16. Is that a wink MTD I wasn't going to do my photo this week due to being busy but at th last minute decided to, and lucky I did because this plant won't be in flower for much longer, and he looks like he is in the enchanted forest :-) .
  17. This is Chazer's photo for the week - will be my favorite for the year, on sentimental grounds - Chazer went to an agility trial yesterday after 2 years of no training or trialling and got a jumping quali They don't forget things they really love .
  18. Clicking Mad - great photos, love the balancing trick Love this one. Did you use a filter for the heart effect? MTD, looking very cute as always SammieS, very cute
  19. Great photos, nothing quite like watching a greyhound or whippet run, they are amazing
  20. Looks like you dogs are enjoying a bit of a splash around Sammie & Clicking mad. This is my photo for the week, taken this morning, nice to wake up to a nice sunny blue sky after a very wet week .
  21. Very interesting affect, looks great. This is the most colorful sunflare I have had in a photo, it was taken with the same lens as yours funnily enough - I actually put it straight in the reject pile but pulled it out for this thread. It does look a bit ethereal though with the sun shining down on the dog
