  1. I knew it - you know! about chewing sleeves - the litter GL's Izzy came from had all these lovely quiet calm sleepy puppies but GL choose the one that decided I was her new chew toy - hair, locket, fingers, toes and jeans!
  2. Laffi I do not beleive you for a minute! You sound like a person who is either trying to avoid accidently telling us which one is the current pick of the litter or you don't want to say cause you're getting one but LP is going to be making the choice as to which one you get!
  3. Ok can kinda answer two of your questions 1) you can get just a KC vaccine which is taken up the nose I understand & 2) heartworm is transmitted by mozzies, so I guess if you don't have mozzies you could possibly take the risk of not covering for it but treatments such as the Spectrum range (Interceptor and Sentinel) cover against heartworm as does Advocate and heartgard. Yrly heartworm injections I understand are not really recommended.
  4. OMG SHE HAS GOT THE PUPPIES BEING HELD CAPTIVE IN A BAG - SOMEONE CALL THE AUTHORITIES!
  5. You're such a party pooper LP Isn't she what!
  6. Yep it's kind like getting a little support group going in this thread I didn't get a blood test so sorry can help there, but if your concerned I would call them! So is it your cat that has the allergies that you're testing at the moment? Also will let you guys know how I go this evening re asking to be able to do the injections myself.
  7. So who were you're breeder's top three in no particular order k?!?! Is Laffi still with you?!?! Which is her fav???
  8. So LP have they been checked out by anyone else yet??? Laffi who is your fav??? And is there any chance you're taking one????? PS I personally think Lacey is staying - I mean come on she managed to get an extra shots of her pretty face in among the stacked piccies! ;)
  9. If you do not have a problem with ticks and fleas aren't crazy where you are I personally would use sentinel spectrum http://www.pets.novartis.com.au/dogs/sentinelspectrum.html
  10. No worries Stormie! All good! I ordered that shampoo and will be trying it this weekend Perhaps we need to start a bubble colony! I wonder how many people with dogs that have allergies have allergies themselves?!?! Benson - Grasses, Eucalyptus, Mixed Feathers, Wheat, Tobacco. Me - Grasses, Eucalyptus, Mixed Feathers, Cats, Dogs, And I think I should never have started smoking (previously asthmatic) Edit - and no, no reactions, went to the park afterward and he seemed perfectly normal and then gave him his Atopica tabs later on and still nothing. Best of luck with your injections too Stormie - perhaps we need to start a thread each monitoring the progress of the injections! Hey did you get an intradermal test done in the end or get a second Hesk (sp?) thingy one done again???
  11. Oh you're so lucky you just posted piccies LP - cause I was told to sick'em I am totally in love with Polly now! Edit - Laffi is this payback cause I got to cuddle Golden babes before Christmas?!?!
  12. Update from last night - So we started the immunotherapy last night - but I can't give him the injections, because I could go into anaphylaxis if I accidently injected myself as we have such similar allergies so I have to take Benson to the vet every bl**dy Tuesday and Thursday for weeks and weeks. But I am hoping to come up with something to be able to either do it myself like welding gloves or see if i can get them moved to a closer vet as its such a painful drive in peak hour
  13. What happened to posting some piccies :D
  14. Quick update - starting injections today! Going to the dermatologist to learn how to administer them this afternoon.
  15. Weird how we are allergic to almost the same things as our dogs but I only get hayfever thankfully, not itchy skin, you poor thing I know I personally think she is the author of that story 'a day in a cat's life' - i.e. day 2015 of my captivity
  16. That is a bugger about your cat Munchin But no thank you as my cat has caused me enough grief for one year - she developed lumps under her dhin and ear and even with antibiotics for 7 days they doubled in size and I was thinking the awful c word. So she went under for a biopsy thingo which only revealed puss, so they opened up the areas and removal the abcesses. After she got home within an hour I realised she had escaped and was meiowing at the front door, thus I went seraching for how she was getting out and found a gap in the laundry recess that I never knew existed (nor did she for almost 3 yrs of living in this rental). She must have been getting out for a little while and may have gotten spliters in her chin from squeezing throught that hole Edit - Like mother like son here too ZA - I am allergic to grasses, eucalyptus, mixed feathers, cats and dogs but at least Benson isn't allergic to Bella or we'd be screwed!
  17. That should have read mother's partner I really need to proof read before posting By the way any luck with the Vit E calculations?
  18. Will do.. and don't worry, the OH knows I only keep him on for his math and computer skills... I really needed an OH last week cause I had no idea where the spark plug was on my lawn mower but mother's showed me and I replaced it and go it going again!
  19. Best of luck Munchin, but don't thank me - thank the knowledgable ones like Zayda_Asher!
