I've been to A&D, it was easy to get to, easy access off the Roe Hwy. I recommend not going there if you are a vegetarian though

KYZER - Raise the bar in training, work on more control and more distance, better faster contacts - I'd like to start entering open agility & jumping sometime next year, need to get my confidence up first! - Get that last JDX leg then onto Masters :D - Carry our new positive agility attitude through to ADX and start getting some ADX passes - title would be nice but I'm not focusing on it too hard - our last AD pass took ages to get - I just want a happy dog and we'll go from there. - Solve our new problem that has appeared - zoomies Only happening in Jumping though - get those zoomies under control! - Do some training at other venues and start doing more trials away from K9 - I know it sounds cliche but keeping it positive and fun is a big priority, it's easy to get carried away with the seriousness of it all and sometimes I just need a gentle reminder to keep it light - it's just a hobby TRIXIE - Step up the training with both obedience and agility, keep it fun fun fun! - Teach her 2x2 weaves over the Summer - Hopefully enter her in her first jumping or agility trial in the second half of the year - but don't want to enter her until she is doing excellent level courses at training consistently - Would like to enter her in a CCD trial - this is a tough goal for us with a lot of work ahead Unless they let us do SFE on two legs - Start training some rally exercises too.

Ewwwwww Yeah I just got 10kg to try it out, a normal bag is 20kg, she split it for me. They are working their way through it pretty fast though considering their size, 2 out of the 4 bags are gone, so they are about halfway, I got it the night of the ACWA wind up - two weeks ago.
-
Hey that's pretty good, but I've got 10kg of Black Hawk to get through, it seems to be going okay so far, fair bit cheaper than Nutro, it's $90 for 20kg and the ingredients are quite similar.

Woohoo! Go the Whippies, do you foresee yourself coming to Perth for any trials or will you just be going to Albany?

2010 Training/title/goals Wish List
pie replied to Seita's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
TSD - were you reading my mind? :D I had both this thread and the 2011 one open ready to post but got called away, then I came back and you had bumped them both :D Final 2010 update in red!: -
I will admit, I left a bag of it on the kitchen floor and forgot about it and one of the dogs teared it to shreds and spilled biscuits everywhere Luckily my 10kgs had been split into 4 smaller bags!

Yep it said they closed the Kwinana freeway between Mundijong Rd & Safety Bay Rd - not sure if it is still closed.
-
:p I'm telling ozjen! ;) Yes "bloody bitches" is a bit TMI
-
Yeah those pesky girls!! Yep now they'll be fine for both the Western Classic and States
-
Poor Ruby looks buggered in that photo :D I do too! Thanks everyone

I will hopefully be doing it with Trixie - although we aren't trialling in anything just yet. I think she'd like it.

She won't be home yet, she was going via her parents' house Good work Xena98! Sounds like another great night Speaking of things a long time coming Kyzer finally got his elusive third leg of novice agility in a scrappy run, he was hanging by a thread the whole time I think We got our first pass in March and the second one in June and have been trying and failing ever since, who knew agility could prompt so much soul searching!!! I had been making an effort to get back to keeping it fun and short and it has paid off in the last few trials for his agility, JDX he had a bit too much fun though and was overcome with madness and zoomed right out of the ring

I don't think your OH will even notice, it's very subtle

Awww Happy Birthday Hemi Mine don't really do bling, Trixie could if there was such a thing as a bling martingale (please tell me there isn't for the sake of my $$$) and I keep the costs down by having plain leads, then I just change the collars
-
Nah thats okay, I'm not good at steering other people's dogs I'll just walk it and then watch
-
Yeah It will be Trixie's last though. Yes you could probably put money on it Ptolomy You'd better take a back up dog as well just in case
-
Yeah I agree Pesky dog is in season What a pain
-
Damn I wish I could have a quick go at the rally o tonight Will be watching with interest! I don't agree with making CCD easier - and I'm a total noob who is daunted by obedience I don't think making it easier will help - people who want to train their dogs to trial them will make the effort.

No sorry, our concretor is a friend who was down from Wiluna, not sure he gets much experience with exposed aggregate out there The exposed aggregate looks nice but some of it is quite sharp on people & dog's feet, there must be smooth ones out there though? ETA: And don't talk to me about black dirt Urrrghhh

Well 2 years in February It's not the grass laying that's the problem, it's everything else that takes time and money first, like retic, garden beds, paving, eeep! Should get a motor on next year now that the ball is rolling. I do feel sorry for the dogs at times though, when they get to go out the front while I am gardening they roll around on the grass like it is the best thing in the world ;) Poor little sand dogs ;)
-
Hope your house works out okay emery, it will if it is meant to be We finally have some movement in our backyard / sand pit. We got a whole stack of sand removed and now we have a slab in ready for the shed to go on and we have paver dudes coming early next year Only took 2 years

Awww happy birthday Lara, she looks so good for her age, a real testament to your care Ptolomy. Our first dog was free! Given to us when we were kids by a local, she was a camp dog, about 4 years old the vet said, she transformed from a skinny tick ridden scared thing to a plump bossy spoilt brat quite easily, we lost her last year, she was about 17-18, and was the best dog a kid could have.

Hi Sherel, no not at the moment, she has a very very short single coat, she's just sensitive to most foods other than Nutro but I'll try and finish the bag and hopefully her condition will stabilise again once she gets used to it.
-
I thought I'd give this a go, mine have been on it for a week (were on Nutro previously) and I'm noticing a change of condition in my girl - but for the worse! Her coat has turned dull and her skin is starting to flake and she has lost weight, I'll stick with it for a few more weeks to see if she improves. My boy looks fine on it but he is the kind of dog who could eat no brand biscuits and still be in good condition.
