I knew exactly who you were talking about from the OP too... I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole either!

:D I used to have a tunnel suck, but I broke her - crappy handling of off entry tunnels - now I have a contact and weaving suck. Most dogs will take an off course tunnel if they make a mistake in a tunnel/contact discrimination - not my Kirra - she'll take the contact every time - like she did in one of the courses at Natonals - might have been Open or Masters - can't remember - she had to work hard to off course to the contact - but she still did it :D . ;) Now that's skill Kyzer will pick a contact over a tunnel any day - I dread the day when we are presented with a tunnel next to an aframe or dogwalk, the tunnel won't have a chance :D Actually he isn't as much of a tunnel suck as he was in the beginning, in his first ever jumping trial he went through one tunnel 3 times, he was only supposed to do it once

Aaah, gotta love a tunnel suck I'm sure Kyzer thinks he gets bonus points when he does extra tunnels

Oh my God I love Polo!!! Watched some of your other vids, he is high on life! Adorable Wow what powerful weavers he has too
-
Yeah it happened so quickly I kept waiting for her to do something but she didn't, I was a bit gobsmacked! Hey you are describing me! Except I don't go out much, only for special occasions, because the gaggles of 18 year old girls at most places shit me to tears Same! At the Dobe club trial I think, don't think I've ever seen you with your hair up except for then. I don't think I'd recognise half the doggy people at training if they weren't wearing trackies and a polo shirt or jacket

On how good looking the doctor is?

ZOMG Pudding is ADORABLE!!!! and I love the name Look at those big melty eyes - she could get away with murder!

Oh whoops forgot to post, when I got home it was looking better and vet had a squeeze and said most of the gunk was out and she is to continue the ABs for a week then go back, also gave her pain killers for a week. Doesn't really seem to be bothering her, she was very playful with Kyzer when we got back, much to his annoyance He said he could hear the heart murmur but her heart would sound normal for about 30 seconds then he would hear the murmur, he said it sounds very mild but we are to wait until she is back to full health to investigate. When we were in the waiting room alone a woman came in with a big staffy that was going off it's head at Trixie who was hiding behind me, the woman was just standing there near the door holding it, wasn't trying to walk in the other direction or take it back outside or get its attention or shut it up, just standing there with her dog lunging on the lead, Trixie was terrified, a moment later the vet called us through and we had to walk past this lunging barking dog, there wasn't really enough room to do so comfortably so I picked Trixie up and carried her in, she was so shaken and was quivering like a leaf, I was very annoyed, that's the last thing you need when your dog is already scared about being at the vet took her a while to calm down, she wouldn't even take any liver treats, she calmed down after a while and ate the treats the vet was giving her, thankfully when we had finished the vet made the other dog go into a different consult room so it wouldn't go off at Trixie when we left. Argh!

Oops, just saw this - congrats Ness and well done Kenzie!

You could use her ball or other toys for reward, sounds like she likes the ball For the Kelpie personal space problem see this recent thread discussing the same problems: http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=211784

Welcome Josie, but you mustn't have read the rules, puppy photos are compulsory

Yeah my car was telling me it was 30 degrees outside when I was driving to work at 8am - blerk
-
I know, the evap couldn't handle the humidity! Saw it raining in the city when I was driving into work, just hit Applecross area, hopefully it goes to my place!
-
The dog should be on ABs! Poor thing! Must be very painful for it, My dog was at the vet yesterday with an anal gland abscess and even with the pain relief shot she was in a fair bit of pain
-
Eek! Better locate my 'safe place' and get my entries in!
-
:D Better start working weekends
-
Yep if my regular vet hears the murmur as well I will probably get the echo and/or x-ray so I know exactly what I'm dealing with, but she's never been short of energy previously, that's for sure And I've never heard her cough. Poor poppet was in a fair bit of pain last night, trying to run away from her own bottom! Applied a hot compress and it burst - ewwwwww - was waiting for the bad smell but thankfully it didn't arrive. She seemed to feel more comfortable after it popped though - so gross! Taking her to the vet after work to get it flushed and checked. Blerk! That's interesting MM, I battle to catch my breath if I run too, but I don't have a murmur, I'm just terribly unfit :D Not appreciating this humidity at all, where's our thunderstorm? Does anyone know when the Western Classic entries close, my Canine News has been put in a 'safe place'

Still nursing a few dance related injuries including a sore neck and a bruised knee but didn't say hello to the toilet thankfully Did get the clichéd 5am kebab though :D I'm too old to go out drinking, I end up hungover for the entire next day and time is precious these days! Yes I've been on holidays which have been very unproductive but mostly consisting of me keeping my mother busy and out of trouble! Unfortunately work starts back again tomorrow, yuck.
-
It's Anal Gland season!!! :D Yep RosieFT usually I wait things out but it was growing quite fast and the last thing I wanted was for it to burst and get really infected because I have to work tomorrow so wouldn't be able to take her to the vet until late arvo. I'm feeling better now that she is on ABs and pain relief, she's keeping her distance from me - not sure she appreciates the hot compress on her backside :D When Kyzer got the grass seed down his ear it was right on the vet's closing time Oh the screaming was blood curdling! Off to Murdoch - gave up when we weren't seen for about 4 hours though because it was low priority and he had calmed right down and seemed comfortable and went home and to the vets first thing to get knocked out. Yes it was a fun New Year's - maybe a little too fun ;)
-
Cuuuuuuuttee!!! Happy Birthday Rommi!!!
-
That's what I was thinking - I'd probably develop a sudden heart murmur too if someone stuck their finger up my backside without warning Hopefully it is nothing serious. The butt lump is looking nasty and purple and oozed a bit of gunk - I have the fun job of applying hot compresses to it - why do I have dogs again? :D Very glad I got the Tramadol injection for her because I imagine it would be very sore right now!
-
Oh that's a bugger Miss B! Mine have been fine but I know of one person whose Compact leg sometimes doesn't lock in properly and it pulls off the other leg section.
-
Ditto Throw away the crappy little pegs that come with it and get some big heavy duty ones, there was a thread recently on how to secure guy ropes and things to make it sturdier, I'll see if I can find it. I have the Market Gazebo which is similar to the compact and it has withstood some big gusts of wind but it has mega pegs holding it down.
-
I tried to express it myself after applying hot compresses but wasn't successful and it was quite solid so called Murdoch and they told me to come in, it was quiet so got in after only 30 mins, they examined her thoroughly and expressed what they could and gave her antibiotics and pain relief and we have to apply hot compresses and go to the normal vet tomorrow to flush it I suppose. Neither of mine have ever had anal gland problems, I leave them alone, not sure what happened this time but my Mum was babysitting them on New years and fed them protapak - maybe that did it, who knows!? The other one was nearly empty. Vet took a long time listening to her heart which worried me, then said she thinks Trixie has a grade 1 or 2 heart murmur that she suspects is congenital - my vet hadn't picked it up before, so they said to get that double checked by my vet and my vet can hear it get an echo and/or x-ray - great!
-
Argh I saw the photo of the filly foot, think it will give me nightmares :D Does anyone have experience with swollen anal glands? Trixie has had one come up this morning, it's a bit red, about the size of a medium grape, doesn't seem to be bothering her but of course it happens on a public holiday and I'm wondering whether to take her to Murdoch and wait 10 million hours because it's low priority or wait until tomorrow afternoon?
