You Know Your Dog Is Keen When...
pie replied to Vickie's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
They start offering you 2o2o behaviours in the doorway in the hopes of getting a reward -
which one did you go to amy? Im going to Clever Creatures in Samson, the woman seems to know her stuff, she knows all the Susan Garrett/Jan Fennel stuff and she has a lovely GSD It was in wattle grove. Ooooh I hope I get to see the cute papillon puppy!!!!!!

And what about Trixie? Cider belongs to Ptolomy, they are both a bit bigger now than they were then
-
Yep - I think a lot of it is nature - Kyzer was probably half broken when we got him - if any dog needed super careful socialisation it was Kyzer! Unfortunately the puppy school we went to didn't offer that If only I knew then what I know now hey! Ooohhhh can I come to the DOL puppy school?!??! Just to play with the puppies

Unfortunately there are a lot of DA dogs that were caused by their puppy preschool experience as well So it is very important to go to a good one. Agree with both of you, 8-12 weeks is very important, with Trixie she had a puppy play date with Cider who was a little bit older than her (can't resist posting a cute puppy photo) and other dogs I knew and trusted. She isn't too bad but doesn't care much for strange dogs which is not surprising for her breed (she doesn't care much for strange people either!) But she luuuuuurrrvesss her 'friends' Her puppy date with Cider: it was a bit of a smackdown at first Then the tables turned But there were no hard feelings :p Nawwww ;) Yep sure is At the Western Classic (in 2014 ) Another funny moment - it was a crazy night last night wasn't it Must've been the wind

Well Trixie and I managed to entertain our whole class last night We were doing a jump grid, and after she took a jump she ran over to the tunnel (a good 8 metres away and not part of our course) but instead of going through it like a normal dog she jumped it, then turned around, jumped it again and came running back looking pleased as punch Oh you should have heard the giggles

Ewww that's why RS smelled so bad all Saturday (joke!) I liked the reptile park when I went, they have a very big snake that you can pat
-
I thought that as I was driving away and saw you there, but you told me you were only doing the early training so I thought you had gone!
-
amypie and I highly recommend visiting Marapana Wildlife World  Just pack a face washer. No - don't listen Labrat, save your $16, not worth it even if you get some bonus Llama spit like RS did
-
Yep! Don't be silly! We are a friendly bunch, probably talk a bit too much though! After trianing last night I was talking to RosieFT and Mirawee and Ozjen for ages, then RosieFT and I said we were going then I think we ended up gasbagging for another half an hour next to the cars RE puppy schools - Kyzer went to puppy school. And look at hime I think puppy schools can be good but I will never ever again go to one that is just a free for all with puppies getting smacked down all over the place, especially with smaller puppies.

Hopfeully I can make it to watch the obedience Friday night Won't have time to bake Saturday, working all day Might have to buy some pre-baked goodies!
-
I just have one of those shower attachments in the bath. Works well though!
-
I once saw a guy at BP&G Canning Vale who had used the hydrobath for his Setter, and had the dog on a grooming table next to the hydrobath trimming and drying him I have never used a hydrobath before because my dogs are small and almost bald Welcome Jodie Elijah

We lost power last night but it was back on by 7.15pm, a bit of rain, that was about it really. Poor OH left early this morning to drive back to Newman for work, decided to get petrol in Wubin (270km from Perth) because he has a fuel card and uses the BP there, got to Wubin with an 8th of a tank and none of the servos are working because their power is out He had 20L in a jerry can and was going to go back south to find a working servo to fuel up, hopefully in Dalwallinu. Haven't heard back from him yet :D No news is good news The next town north is about 150 km away.

Hope my pot plants are okay They get blown over in the wind!
-
No rain in Applecross yet. I noticed they are forecasting rain for Saturday, great! Not. Aaaah so it is going to be a Bunnings! I overheard some people talking about a Bunnings going there about a year ago but thought they must have been telling porkies, seems they weren't! Yippee, heaps closer than Cockburn or Maddo. What I always wonder is why isn't there a Bunnings in Armadale? Seems an obvious place to have one?

I saw those photos the other day when I was choosing mine, Joelle, at least he will have some nice photos to remember his boy.
