  1. Intruder Alert! Yeah I have a black and white one too, I feel your pain there wuffles though mine's a bit more patterned and not like Ava - half white half black
  2. yeah that would be some good practice, I predict a success rate of 1 in every 100 shots Oh come on! I reckon there it would be at least 3 in 100 I've given up That's just what I was thinking - hehehe!
  3. Oh no Ptolomy hope your Mum is okay And yours too Mim! So many people seem to be in hospital or getting injured at the moment, hopefully there are no more! CC the photos are brilliant! If you ever want a challenge I have a nice small dark black dog that moves fast Might send you crazy trying to get photos of that one
  4. They are very very similar The Tenterfield Terrier was ANKC recognised in 2002. Stud books for both breeds are still open last I heard.
  5. Jeepers you're making it hard for yourself lol
  6. I hope you at least have a shower head attachment
  7. I can believe it, we had 46mm of rain yesterday morning! It's probably nice and squelchy and muddy now ready for a crispy orange & white puppy to be converted to Orange & Brown
  8. Oh come on RV  It shouldn't be too bad since it has been fine all day.
  9. They are not ANKC recognised but have their own registry.
  10. Yeah we have some crazy fast dogs here too, I have no idea how the handlers manage to keep track of where they are I just stand ringside like a stunned mullet
  11. Yeah I've never seen that at a trial before... if I pull out half way through I still go to the exit gate and collect my lead.
  12. In the new rules the table will only be on two heights so that will make it a bit easier for stewards. I don't feel bad getting height changes on Tuesdays, which are mostly instructed, it's just Thursdays are mainly other triallers so it runs a bit differently.
  13. It's all the same when they're doing a nose touch :D Yes that's a good point actually
  14. Yep I'm noticing that Ness! In the trial on the weekend there were no 400 dogs in Novice Agility and 1 in Novice Jumping. There were 3 300s in AD and 2 in JD Masters Jumping wasn't as bad as I thought - 6 x 300s and 5 x 400s (I wasn't entered) but JDX was only 500 and 600 dogs - crazy
  15. We have a couple on Tuesdays, and in trials we usually have a few in each class, mostly Shelties, there are about 5 or 6 or so from memory in JDM. There are more 300s than 400s from what I've noticed, here I was thinking it would be easier with a 400 dog as well Wish there were more little dogs over here, that was one thing I liked about the Nationals, so many different breeds to watch. There are a few coming through.
  16. Yeah sometimes I wish I had a different height dog too! It can be frustrating being in a minority group. At training on Thursdays there are only 500 and 600 dogs and I always feel like I am inconveniencing people by asking to put the heights down. Hey at least you got good exercise
  17. Just coz you have a tall dog... I have to get down to 300 level!
  18. Yes "in theory" is right Kavik Tunnels are a major weak point with my Boy as I'm coming to realise now that there are more inviting off course tunnels appearing. I'm coming to realise how much he doesn't read my body language - something to work on. KTB I like the questions even though I can't answer many, I like reading all the answers that get posted here :D
  19. Yeah I can do it when I have instruction and someone telling me where to be, when I don't I find it a lot harder
  20. Agree! We had a trial the other week, there was only one qualifier in Open Jumping Also Jess' suggestion of lateral distance - since I have cottoned on to this it has made a lot of difference with Trixie. For a faster dog you need to look at the course less from a 'running alongside the dog doing each obstacle' point of view and work out where you think your dog will be at each time and try and keep ahead of them where possible. If you can send them out to things it helps too. You definitely learn a lot from stewarding or watching trials that's for sure.
  21. I wanted one of those silver ones too Mirawee but they are sold out in Trixie's size and Kyzer already has two so shouldn't buy him one We have the white ones from Clean Run which aren't bad but dry out quickly.
  22. Yeah I know but he is the one from 100 years of Australian dogs?? Then so is Banjo. Must be a wussy dog thing then
  23. I have opposites, the one that is all black LOVES the heat and will often be found on a 40 degree day sunbaking, yet the one with white parts hates the heat! And he is the one that comes from 100 years of Australian dogs, and wasn't developed in the UK, go figure
  24. Pretty sure they won't get through MM I'd just wait until pup was grown personally?
