  1. I also think drive is not energy - my two are not 'high drive' but they are energetic at home and about and are on the go all the time (more the younger one), whereas a lot of the working line BCs I know are switched on and working 100% at training and trials, but their owners assure me they are completely different at home and are couch potatoes. I think if you have a higher drive dog it is important to train it to have an 'off switch', my brothers BCx is constantly at attention and just never seems to actually relax and switch off until she is forced too due to extreme tiredness! I also think drive is relative for the person assessing it- a Malinois owner probably thinks of almost every other breed as 'low drive' and an owner of a lazy dog probably thinks of most breeds as 'medium / high drive'
  2. I just find it so fun to watch all the different dogs and handlers and the great atmosphere, should be interesting being in an equestrian arena too!
  3. Yes Niques - basically a cuz ball without feet IMO
  4. Thanks TSD Never been to Sydney before! Apart from a connecting flight. Oh come on Tassie, he's a BC, I'm sure you could have him Novice ready in 6 months :p Well it looks like I may be going after all, if I can work out the logistics! Now that I have a sponsor backing me Hopefully it all slots into place
  5. Both of my terriers (Tenterfield and Manchester) do agility but I don't think they're suitable for you, they are both hyperactive and go go go, and also they aren't very social, prefer the people they know. Airedales are large and a lot of grooming, there is one that does agility in my class but she doesn't seem too enthusiastic about it What about a Westie? Or a Cairn Terrier?
  6. So all the spaces at the equestrian centre are taken? Does anyone know if there is space available at Erskine Park? What's it like? Would that be the best place with a campervan?
  7. Are flights usually hard to get close to nationals? Is there a limit as to how many dogs are allowed on flights?
  8. Remember you could just put one cup in the bigger one? They sound good, dammit going to have to add one I think
  9. Lucky you have dogs to cuddle up to I'm still hoping to go, but it's not looking likely unless I win lotto and I'd probably be a bit of a loner I'll buy a ticket just in case, have until March at the latest to work it out I suppose?! ETA though if I wone lotto I'm sure I could get some willing volunteers to come with me if I paid
  10. Well they are less than half the price of here in Australia anyway
  11. For the work car I have clickers, a ventlock (been eyeing them off for a while), a book, some treat ball things, vetwrap, a bazillion toys...
  12. Have any WAers got the Dial up the Distance DVD that I could borrow? ETA never mind a search revealed both Mirawee and RV have it so I will harass them
  13. Here you go! http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=564&ParentCat=254
  14. I was realistic and knew $50 would never cut it But I was expecting around the $100 mark whoops!
  15. I ordered a Chillybuddy coat on Monday Yep - CR may explode
  16. Too much I'm up to $200 but should really put some stuff back!!! Man they are going to be busy clearing out all the orders!
  17. Yep, i-squeaks. Umm, Cuz balls are good, similar to isqueaks but with feet. If you use kongs, they are very cheap on CR compared to here. A lot of dogs seem to like Kong Wubbas too
  18. Yeah I'm up to over $200 now Need to cull some stuff maybe! Tassie you only just spent a bomb on coats for yours too, your credit card must hate you Good opportunity for people to buy silver shade panels if they want some - won't find them anywhere near that cheap in Oz
  19. It's running until the 16th December :p
  20. Staffy. Do I win a prize? Hmmm nope, not a bull breed person sorry
  21. I love that logic when it comes to sales
  22. Confident Biddable Affectionate (within family at least) Agile/athletic/resilient (Can run a lot, handle hot weather, up for anything) Wash & Wear / minimal grooming Hmmm my two dogs have some of those but not all five unfortunately
  23. do not go to the toy section Too late I was ruthless though, maybe too ruthless, better go have another look to see if I need anything else
  24. Mine goes up, I cull some things, then it goes up again, I cull some things, rinse and repeat Shame about the charging thing because I have a debit card not a credit card and I don't want them to hold my 'shipping' money over the weekend!
  25. Not sure where it says that this is not on free shipping...... I think it probably is ;) It says on the actual product listing "Note: Because of its weight, this item is excluded from any storewide free shipping offers."
