:p Great news! Let's hope he is starting to "get it" !

Hi, and welcome What you are doing sounds correct, and is the same method i used for my pup, but just make sure you are not letting him out of the time out until he is silent. don't let him out if he is crying, or he will learn that he can get what he wants by crying. Oh, also, we want photos!

Wow these look great! and what a bargain! Might have a look for one next time I am in Bunnings.

Glad to hear she's being affectionate to you! Those Terriers sure can be independent, don't we all know that! Of course you are worried, naturally! She'll be fine!!

City Farmers don't sell eagle pack. or at least not that i have ever seen. You can buy eagle pack online from naturalpaws.com.au - she lets you pick up from her place in Canning Vale, or it can be delivered. She also sells the BARF patties, so perhaps your friend could buy a roll and see how the dog likes it? My pup was quite fussy, but he loves the BARF patties, esp the combination one. HTH

Don't worry Rhi, she will be fine in no time Kyzer is booked in for the 31/8 hehehehe *snip snip*

Get them to make sure that they are not going back to him when he is still crying, they have to wait until he is quiet or he will see that crying pays off, and he will keep doing it.
-
It is hard to find, and i go an email saying that the place where i usually buy it from isn't going to sell it any more because there isn't enough demand Lucky i got a huge bag
-
Yes, but many butchers cut them into pieces the size of a fist or so. Aaah great, thanks. Might have to locate them, good change from lamb flaps and chicken carcass.

Poor Atlas. Hope it all goes well, and he feels better soon. That has got to hurt.

Are beef brisket bones very large?
-
I was lucky in that Kyzer often did it when he was really little, i just started clicking and treating everytime he did it, then brought in the bow command, now it's his favourite trick LOL
-
I've not seen the tired eyes yet ;) haha me neither! Are Tenties capable of giving tired eyes? :D

This thread reminded me to check kyzer - he's lost a few of his little front ones too! And the remaining front ones are wobbly LOL I only checked a week ago and the baby teeth were all still there.

I buy them premade in frozen patties, i find them really convenient, i have a small dog so they last a while too. Where do you buy them from? This website has info on the patties and the BARF diet: http://www.barfvictoria.com.au/ They are just premade BARF that is frozen, so you don't have to make it yourself. there are heaps of threads on BARF, if you do a search there is a lot of useful information. There are a few suppliers around but I'm in Perth, I don't know where you would get them from in Melbourne? Since i have changed to BARF Kyzer's rashes on his chest have completely cleared up  the vet just kept prescribing antihistamines but it was all in the diet

So they can just clip the whole thing off when the pups are little? I suppose the dew claw wouldn't really be developed properly and would be tiny so it woudn't really hurt them? How interesting. Is there actually a purpose for dew claws or are they just one of those useless things, like an appendix or tonsils?
-
Deltron, my TT doesn't have them either. The breeder got them removed.

My pup gets BARF patties, chicken carcass, and either Nutro or EPH on the side

that's great to hear. No doubt people will say that you shouldn't have him on the bed, leadership issues and all that. Kyzer has slept on our bed from day one, i was so scared he would freeze to death because he was so tiny! i did find it helped the toilet training because he wasn't game to try and jump off the bed do he would wake us up when he needed to go. He still sleeps on our bed, and he just takes himself to the toilet now. I love waking up and having him there and giving him a little tummy rub and saying good morning.
