  1. Yeah that's what I thought - I was going to see her about an occasional head shake (suddenly had the realisation that another MT here has a MCT in his ear which has now made me paranoid) and also she just seems off so would like to check her over - but I thought I should do the right thing insurance wise just in case there is something up with her ear
  2. Does anybody know if I can just go and see Deb Nook, or do I need a referral from my normal vet if I want things covered by pet insurance down the track? Thank youuuuu

  4. This got me thinking and I don't believe I've seen many of our 'senior' agility people (or people training a second dog/puppy with trialing as their goal) doing our structured classes as such, they are more for first time agility people, but some of the seniors use them to get their dogs used to the environment but mostly do their own thing, or are in the class but don't necessarily do everything they are told if they think it will conflict with their plan (this is what I did because for my second dog I wanted all the obstacles done confidently before I did any sequencing) or are the instructor and have their dog out to demonstrate. I did the classes, all of the instructors were accommodating of different things I wanted to do (like opting out of channel weaves for example) and still helped me but they did push onto sequencing too quickly for my liking, so I broke it up as much as I could, but it also depends on the instructor. There was talk of splitting into two classes at adult foundation level - those who just wanted to do social agility and those that wanted to trial with the latter having a much stronger focus on foundation - I hope they do that in the future. Fuzzy - are there some othe people doing the SG course in your area perhaps? Maybe you could meet up and someone may have access to equipment you could use?
  5. If you are talking about Tapatalk - try using the Search option and search for dolforums - that's how I added it.

    Atlas

Sorry to hear about Atlas, RIP Thinking of you TB
  12. I have had both medium and large, both sizes lost their squeak from sand very quickly and both split quite easily too. Much prefered the Isqueaks
  13. No she's not a dobe puppy (after they approach making that "awwwwwwwwwww" noise reserved for puppies and ask in a baby voice how old she is  ) me: "Umm, three years" No she's not a mini dobe - that one is usually overheard, people discussing what breed she is  Or a min pin. Both things I expected when getting her
  14. Wow has it really been over a year??? That is just crazy. Thinking of you HFB.
  15. Do you have Wintergreen MG? most lawns are dormant in Winter and grow slowly. I have those panels but they are currently in use containing my other dog! Cheeky Ruby!
  16. Yep the Blue Merle Mirawee - she is a WL Aussie from Flatout
  17. Happy Birthday Gibbs! On one hand it seems to have gone fast but on the other it feels like you have always had him!
  18. Awww that's a lovely photos. Yep Mirri is in my agility class
  19. Oh there's Mirri the Aussie! Isn't she pretty. Your dogs are lovely Weasels :D Great shots CC
  20. Ice skating rink is there until 22 July - details here http://winterfestival.com.au/category/events/fremantle/ Yeah there's a free (in Winter) camping spot at Point Herron on the Harvey Estuary where you can take dogs, going to check it out and if it's any good for tent camping. Oh good luck at the show, know what you mean about closing dates I missed a stack while in Sydney, this is our first trial since then, and then we don't have another until 4/5th April, probably won't enter the one on the 4th as it is my birthday
  21. Um I am going to Mandurah to visit my little brother and his new Fiancee (exciting :D ) and then sussing out a camping spot at Point Herron (anyone been there before?) then going to a concert, Busby Marou (romantic mush alert) then Sunday have an agility trial, Trixie's Masters Jumping Debut (should be entertaining  ). Was hoping to check out the open air ice skating rink in Freo tonight but not keen if it is going to rain What about you ST?
  22. Yes of course you can - go for it! It is supposed to be a fun activity for you and your dog after all, he's still got plenty of years ahead of him. My Manchester was trained foundation exercises from the day she was home at 9 weeks but I didn't actually start trialling her until she was about 2 and a half - I noticed a massive change in her maturity around the age of 2 when everything just started clicking - just because you can start agility trialling at 18 months doesn't mean every dog is going to be ready by then, and you certainly haven't 'missed the boat' if you haven't started by now.
  23. I was also going to say that the newer isqueaks feel softer and don't last as long as the earlier ones did, which is a shame.
