Making Agility Jumps From Pvc Piping
pie replied to helen's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I made mine basically the same as the one in the pic with the GSD. Rather easy. -
Mine gets a third of one and it takes him about 5 minutes or less depending on which third it is, he only has little jaws
-
My list was purely raw things, I like to give him different things to try, he loves raw broccoli
-
Mine does like: Sweet potato Apple Strawberries Cherry tomatoes Broccoli And doesn't like: Mushroom capsicum Lettuce carrot Cauliflower

My dog isn't a big kibble eater, but when we go to my brother's house they usually have a big bowl of chum or Pal out for their dogs, and he loves it I figure it's like McDonalds for dogs
-
I wish we did have Earth Dog here in WA, would be so interesting to do. I love seeing dogs doing what they were designed for. Did you end up doing it in Melbourne CnR?

Yeah, Vetwest is my current vet, might have to give them a call later (got a few weeks to prepare) but just thought there might be some good recommendations

I'm after recommendations for a good puppy preschool that doesn't allow 'free run' in the Canning Vale area and surrounds if anyone knows of one? The puppy will be reasonably small, and I'm still traumatised from Kyzer's puppy school which let all the dogs tear around the room biting and squashing each other He seems to have recovered better than I have Thanks

Mine also had low results for Distemper, from memory I think they were 1:20. I chose not to revaccinate because as Ptolomy said they don't do a single vaccine. I had him tested about a year ago now and I would be interested to have him done again because since then he has been to an aboriginal community where Distemper is likely to be.

I quite often buy bags of frozen little fish or sardines from the fish shop, the dog loves them more than tinned fish, I had some really little fish once (about 4 or 5cm long) and took a pocketful to dog training, he loved them, but my pockets were a stinky mess by the end ;)

Wow hearty congratulations Sandi, and the lovely Scoota of course!! I agree with the others, it is a joy to watch you when you are working your dogs, especially for the uninitiated, and you are always willing to help others, I'm so happy for you, it couldn't happen to a nicer person! Sorry to hear one of your clan has been unwell.

Are My Dog's Nails Long Enough To Be Clipped? (pics)
pie replied to fainty_girl's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I agree, I clip my fdog's claws every week or two, only need to clip a little bit off, takes 2 minutes and he is very used to it. I believe regular smaller clippings prevent the quick from growing too long down the nail too. -
You big spender TB

My boss ordered one, we tried it on their SWF, it was hopeless. it took way too long because any time you put a tiny bit of pressure on it it would slow or stop. It got sent back the same day I'm thinking of buying a Dremel, I have heard good things about them and they seem to be popular here. For those that have a dog that is scared of it, this is a great article: http://homepages.udayton.edu/~merensjp/dob...mel/dremel.html

Awwww! Kelpie babies are just so adorable. -
What Crikey, no wonder you are in shock! Fingers crossed Dr Syme can pinpoint the cause of his issues. Poor boy.

Wow that went fast. Thinking of Ruby and you FD.

RIP Kleo, you were a gorgeous big boofer. I'm sure Dribbly was glad when you decided to stop pushing her off furniture if she got to close to your owner in the old days Now look what you've done, you have started a Saint Bernard obsession. You should be proud of that. Hugs to you dribbly

Kyzer was neutered (5kg Male) at Applecross about 18 months ago, it cost $150, and was okay, nothing bad happened to him anyway I don't mind them but prefer to use Vetwest, closer and I just like them more

1) What Dry Food do you use? Eagle Pack Holistic - currently chicken 2) How long does that last you? Usually around 2 - 3 months, my 6kg dog only gets 1/4 - 1/2 cup kibble in the morning and RMB at night. 3) Do you buy more than 1 bag at a time? No just the one 4) What is the size of each bag and its cost? I think it's around 3kg and $35 from memory?
