  1. Yep I'm aiming for Novice Jumping but might try out a Novice Agility course as well (bypassing the weavers - that's allowed right? ) If Banjo goes that's fine because you're not a noob handler, whereas I am very much so! I'll just get someone to make a big distraction when it's my turn so that no one watches me
  2. Is there a show on this weekend CnR? I need to buy some stuff from the shop.
  3. Awesome! Will there be other noobs there? I don't want to be the laughing stock
  4. I don't get a journal, and I was going to PM Ptolomy about it, but some people here are interested so I'll ask here Do you just roll up, and pay $2 and wait your turn to have a run? (Agility) There's nothing that really needs to be done beforehand?
  5. Pssst Ptolomy RosieFT has a Smooth Fox Terrier Mmmmm nothing like delicious goat blood leaking all through your pockets
  6. RFT - Kyzer is CRAZY about the small cuz balls which are the same size as the small isqueaks from what I can gather and he has never choked on one, I don't think it would actually fit in his throat. Bigger dogs that have come over have played with them and never had a problem either. He has also played with small (1 inch diameter) bouncy balls OH bought him and hasn't had a problem, although I did confiscate those for peace of mind! You could get a clip to clip the ball on a rope to your pants but this probably isn't a good idea if Rosie will jump up and self reward What about a bigger bum bag just for toys? I just have a tiny latex toy and a tiny tug toy and they both fit in my back pocket EFS
  7. I think they're pretty friendly but can't really remember when I first met Ptolomy's crew? Although I'm pretty sure Jaffa and River were friendly when I met them. I do have a terrible memory though!
  8. It wasn't me! I would've sussed it out, I have been wanting to buy some for ages (Although - Kyzer has misplaced all three of his little Cuz balls and I am rather enjoying the peace )
  9. Kyzer doesn't like strange dogs approaching him either, in most cases he is okay with it and doesn't react but if he is really nervous he will growl or snarl, we generally don't have a problem at training, there is the odd dog but the instructors and other bystanders usually act pretty quickly to capture roaming dogs.
  10. I think your dog doesn't have to be registered to train, just to compete in trials? Could be wrong though but that was my understanding.
  11. Absolutely, when Trixie sees another Manchester she goes ape! After obedience training on Monday she was sitting around not too bothered by the other dogs, then locked eyes with a Manchester Terrier puppy and crikey it was zoomies on for young and old! (well, as much as two dogs can zoom on lead!)
  12. I do the Susan Garrett "Good Girlie" thing too And I found myself making those weird praise / rev up noises she makes :D I'm still learning in a big way so I really enjoy watching others train, especially more experienced people who seem to have 'structure' that I am missing in my training (I think that comes from knowing exactly what your end goal is, whereas I am still learning along the way because I'm training my first dog).
  13. I've used a clicker at training before, and I know other people have used them there, so I say go for it. Oh naughty digging Millie! Are you sure Ruby didn't frame her :D
  14. Oh you can keep your three dogs Mirawee, one is bad enough! I was getting told "keep running for the last two jumps! Don't slow down you are slowing your dog down!" but I was dying!
  15. I have learnt.... I really need to get fitter!
  16. I'm glad the crazy greeting is a Kelpie trait! My brothers Kelpie loves to greet you, but she'll act all sweet and lovely until you bend down to pat her and then BAM! She sticks her tongue in your mouth! She's so quick you can't even react! Pretty gross though, but we're all wise to it now!
  17. Yep Millie is a friendly dog alright She's lovely ;) I always thought I would get a different breed each time - life's too short for one breed etc - but I could easily see myself with more Manchesters.
  18. Poor Chopper! Were you talking about how it's the best dog name ever?! ;) Yeah, something like that! No, we were talking about Manchester Terriers. Ah I see :p (But it is a pretty awesome name ;) )
  19. Awww he is like a mini Chopper isn't he! Were you talking about how it's the best dog name ever?! :p
  20. I may just spend my time watching people doing agility/jumping practice runs! I think you should enter What, for entertainment? Do you have to be a CAWA member to enter it?
  21. Oooooooooh! Might have to investigate running a fake jumping trial! I'll ask them about it tonight
  22. Ouch Tiggy! What is a Show N Go ? Is it like a practice trial or something?
  23. Must be all that Iggy in him shrinking him down! He's awesome, I watched one of your agility videos the other day, he's so speedy! (and well trained )
  24. Fantastic! What lovely dogs. Beautiful shots once again Ruthless :D They have so much personality shining through. Oh I note the flash new signature as well nikivds :D I can't believe Pepe is only 9kgs he looks like he would be bigger than that!
