  1. I have 4 Skinneez too and my dogs play with them HEAPS, but Kyzer doesn't seem to want to kill them. If he gets a stuffed toy, he makes it his mission to destuff it. Maybe it's the smell of the stuffing or something? The Skinneez toys are still alive and well. They are awesome, and nice and soft and squeaky Small one fits on my pocket for training too.
  2. Have you decided yet? Ooooohhhh not long to go now!!!!!
  3. No I've decided I really don't need a bed, I need a soft crate much more! ETA: I wouldn't leave them alone either RFT. You never know what could happen.
  4. See here http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=189084 ETA Link
  5. Awww I love your work Ptolomy, your dogs always look like they are having the time of their lives! Especially Lexi
  6. Damn, I was hoping you didn't see me because Trixie was going crazy all over the place I had run home from work late, thrown her in the car and gone to training, she was a bit hypo!
  7. Champion Lakes is the big rowing lake, it's right next to the Tonkin Hwy near Ranford Road. Access from Lake Road. Here's a link to it on Google Maps: There are bike paths along the back of the lake between the lake and the highway. I'll let you know if I do get that keen but can't see it happening this year
  8. I'd like to do it with Kyzer, I think he'd be able to do the run after some conditioning, but it's the obedience part that worries me (and having to ride the bike ) RS - I remember reading previously that Champion Lakes is a good spot to train because of the long bike paths,
  9. Was Lincoln at K9? I thought I saw him being walked past obedience. Hey RFT which size bed did you get... I have been eyeing them off..... want one, but don't neeeed one!
  10. I had a boomerang one - got killed Have had a ring one for ages though - yet to be killed, despite several attempts Had the sheep but was the same size as Kyzer and he was a bit scared of it so it got rehomed and hasn't been killed there.
  11. I remember when we went to see Kyzer when he was 4 weeks old, the Mum was there, but she kept barging through the puppies to get pats from people! She was squashing puppies left right and centre so got crated. She didn't care that people were playing with them, just wanted some loving too. As a prospective puppy buyer I would like to meet mum then have her put away for this reason
  12. Yep I try to use it to let the dogs know which one I'm talking to, I get confused and sometimes say the wrong name though I tend not to use a name with Kyzer, I think because I'm used to having just him around. At obedience with Trixie (class of mostly puppies) they teach you to use the name to get attention. We have to call the dogs name and when they look, click and treat.
  13. Oh my they are so adorable! I want one! Can't decide between miss pink and miss purple Ohhhh SP you are going to have a very hard time saying good bye!
  14. In our old house Kyzer was always inside, until we got a doggy door, then he was inside / outside while we were at work. In our new house Kyzer was always left inside, with no doggy door. When we got Trixie she was in a pen inside and Kyzer was inside, after a few weeks (once she had learned to leap over the pen), both got put outside because it was easier this way, naughty puppy couldn't wreck anything The idea was to get a doggy door but it still hasn't happened so they've been outside for about 5 months now and it didn't bother him really, I think they prefer it because they can sniff around and sun bake. They have covered crates under the shaded area, if they are hot they sleep stretched out on top, if they are cold they curl up inside. I felt guilty at first because Kyzer was always such an inside dig but he really didn't seem bothered by the change. I am hoping to get the doggy door in before winter though.
  15. Same, they love them, I only filled them about 1/2 - 2/3 full because they like to sink into them. When Trixie was a little puppy we couldn't find her, searched the house, the yard, I was starting to get stressed, then thought to check the bean bag, she was curled up into a little ball and the bag had folded over her so you could only just see her, she was sound asleep during our frantic search
  16. I just watched one, it gave me hope for the future. I'm not going to watch any obedience ones because I can't really tell the difference between good and bad anyway
  17. Well at least I should have a good source of entertainment when I look back in a few years I'm going to have a look at some of yours....
  18. Me too...but it is a learning experience. I never realised how unenthusiastic I looked (probably more self conscious than unenthusiastic). And I think I need to do a few laps around the oval after training sessions
  19. Your second vid says it's private All I could focus on was that merry beagle butt wagging away, she's a happy little camper isn't she! I think you're doing so well Huski! (Although I know nothing about obedience ) EFS ETA: Speaking of spelling, every time I see the title of this thread I flinch
  20. Yep, I've got one, it's okay. Just a normal every day crate Can't remember what size but it has two doors and is black and was very cheap.
  21. ;) I have a PVC weave pole that I stick in the ground, then a mini tripod on the camera that I stick into the top of the weave pole. Works quite well actually
  22. Isn't she supposed to be a photography whizz or something?
