No still got the old banger! I was in Mandurah today, didn't go to the trial. You'd know about it if I had a new car :p Yep I don't think my stupid green zombie car is ever going to die, it will last forever just to torture me Good luck Ptolomy & Bedazzled

No, I never would. I agree with this.

Waiting for the Mannie Results
-
Hesa, it doesn't have any of the breeds listed above on the link, probably because the results aren't up yet. It's not just Shelties.
-
I was going to Traffordphotos.com as well as using the link above and it wasn't working, they both are now though, he must've sorted it out
-
I'm getting that message too, FP. They are also on his Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Traff...77583266?ref=ts Only days 1 - 4 so far though.

Exactly what I said when I read this... Absolutely gobsmacking. That poor baby
-
He grew a bit since then unfortunately ...

Yep, doesn't matter whether you have a Chi or a Dane, they all have to do the same weave poles ETA: I meant height of the pole doesn't matter for our dogs, what, you're confusing me now
-
Weaves are the same for all dogs, in ANKC agility the weave poles are 60cm apart (to the centre of the pole) Height isn't so much of an issue for our dogs, they only see the bottom 40cm of the pole anyway ETA: 2x2 bases look like this: You can angle them to make a channel and gradually put them in a straight line, or you can use them to teach the weaves with the 2x2 method.
-
It's when you turn your foot 90 degrees to make a 'T' with your feet before you turn I believe... I'm sure an obedience person will be along shortly to explain it better ETA: See, told you someone would come and explain it Tiggy I couldn't tell you because I have only really had agility instructing at ACWA.
-
Hmmm I don't like it personally because of all the PVC, especially the stuff on the ground which could affect foot work, I think you're better off with stick in the ground spikes (if you have ground that can have spikes stuck into it ) or 2x2 weave bases like the have at training (have you seen them? )

I seem to have broken his jumping.. he gets quite unmotivated during it, but loves agility because he finds the obstacles really rewarding. Oops

I'll be happy with a JD title but funnily enough I think we have more chance of an AD title

Awww look, only one title each How cute

First you have to decide if you want an ES or an Aussie The Aussie at Mason's birthday party the other day was divine :p Aussie?? Which Aussie?? Jenna!

Kyzer was a pretty good puppy generally, he was the first puppy we had ever had, my family dog was an adult when we got her. He was so tiny though, we stood on him a few times and he quickly learned to keep out of the way. His toilet training was a breeze, he would be in a pen while we were at work, then after a few weeks we got a doggy door and he had free run of the house and yard, he never destroyed anything, only ever dug a few holes while playing. Always been good with food manners. Always quiet and well behaved except for... the BITING!! I can't remember how many times I burst into tears because he was a biting terror! It was shocking. Time outs, being told off, being squirted with a water bottle only made him come back for more, then one day, it stopped! Hallelujah! He's always been grumpy even when he was a tiny puppy, but he always had a crazy streak which he still has that makes him turn into a complete loon and you couldn't help but laugh at him. The bad parts of his puppy hood were a distant faded memory by the time we got Trixie 2 and a half years later.... Nothing could have prepared us for how Chalk and Cheese Trixie and Kyzer are She looks far more innocent of the two, but she is definitely naughtier Trixie was a lot harder to toilet train, she was clingy (still is) and would scream and scream and scream if left in her pen. She didn't deal with being left during the day at all, she scoffed food, she bit us, she would bite my pant legs all the time (still does it very occasionally if she is worked up ) she harassed Kyzer, she ate anything she could wrap her jaws around (still does actually ). Chewed cables, work boots, plants, anything that was accidentally left in her way (I know this is mostly our fault but our previous angel puppy never wrecked anything :D ) But funnily enough I never got frustrated with her as much as I did with Kyzer, I was a lot more laid back about it all, maybe because I knew that one day it would all be behind us, and although the puppy stage seems to last forever at the time, you realise afterwards how quickly it disappears, so I was more intent on enjoying her puppy mannerisms as much as I could. As much as I like having puppies, I think I like having well behaved adults better. Someone on here once said 'I consider puppy hood an inconvenient stage on the way to getting an adult dog' or something along those lines, and I always think about that :D But I still miss some puppy things, like the way they play for 30 minutes then sleep for 30 minutes wherever they are at the time, and they way they smell, and watching them learn and experience new things. Awww, I want another puppy

I think the secret to making agility equipment is to get someone else to do it for you Much easier!
-
I've only had it since the weekend I thought you finished your jumps! It does not belong to me, we borrowed it for storm water pipe we had to cut (and jump bars )
-
I'll bring one of mine down next week so you can take a look and I'll let you know what you need to buy The jump cups come from the USA unless you want to make them, which I'm led to believe is quite painful I currently have a drop saw too so I can cut the PVC all nice and square if you don't want to use a hacksaw.

Agility did help the bond between my boy & I a bit, there might be a club nearby someone can recommend that offers puppy agility classes? Our club does.

My boy is a bit like this too, quite independent, he was my first puppy so I was pretty excited and I think I made it worse by smothering him a bit He doesn't follow me around much either, prefers to curl up in his crate or outside. He has been better since I got Trixie because she is a velcro dog and will take all the smothering I can give so he has a break from it. I know what you mean about the rejected feeling though But different dogs have different personalities. Sorry I don't have much advice, just wanted to sympathise Are Spitz Breeds / Lappies generally aloof?
