Also take scissors - the crate my puppy was in had a cable tie securing the door and I had nothing on me to cut it open and the poor puppy wanted out fast! I ended up using my teeth! Agree with water and a collar and lead or a slip lead. Maybe some wet wipes too in case there has been an accident in the crate. Woohoo, it's so exciting meeting a new puppy for the first time!

I have two small dogs (6kg and 9kg) and our floating timber floors are trashed, my house proud OH was devastated at first but luckily he got over it :D You can see scratches everywhere, but they are not through to the wood, just in the varnish. Zoomies are a real big killer for this! The floors are just over 1 year old and are engineered floating ones. I trim my dogs' nails every weekend too and file off sharp edges.

I have polar fleece ones which are good, but not waterproof. Ideally need a waterproof one each for training... bloody bald dogs! God knows how the Xolo's cope :D

I washed it heaps, I think it was the fabric stiffness to size of dog ratio :D I'd say the bigger ones would be better. Anyway can't wash it any more because a certain black & tan someone ripped it to shreds when it was accidentally left outside

I don't know what the nature of your puppy is, but mine is very clingy and although she is strongly disliked by her 'older brother' she is still quite attached to him and doesn't appreciate it when he is elsewhere, I'm working on it! I think it's better to start separating them sooner rather than later. I wish my dogs would spoon like yours do :)
