I can only find acts on the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor site relating to lure racing (meaning there is a prize involved) can't find anything about recreational lure coursing, maybe it would come under another department?

Not to my knowledge ST, I remember hearing a while ago that it was not allowed in WA under some government rule, not sure if that was true or not, but some clubs had a lure, the JRT club did lure racing for fun and the Tentie club were building one (they had the motor just had to figure out how to make it variable speed). I wish they had Lure Coursing here (

I went through on Saturday and filled out all the entry forms for all of the trials ready to send off (except for two of them) it's going to be a busy two months, and I think only 2 of them are at K9 so I'll be driving all over town! Was going to try Snooker and Gamblers too but have to work out how to do it first Back on the training topic, have been doing a lot of jump grids / pinwheels / rear crosses / serpentines with Kyzer because I'm freaking out a bit at being in Excellent jumping now, and he seems to have renewed enthusiasm for jumping which is great, he used to find it very boring indeed. I do wish he would tug though. He does it the first time he sees a new toy but then the novelty wears off, or sometimes he will grab it but spit it out waiting for the food. Is there some kind of tugging program, "How to teach your dog to tug reliably" or something, or is that too much to ask?

She's only on day 5 It just seems like longer because I knew she was about to come in any day so was keeping her away. I'm so over it I'm never becoming a breeder So gross. Where is the Perth trial? K9? I sent off my entry for the Northern Suburbs trial, at least it's not too far north You could always come down sans dog and help me put up that blasted RV Shade Yeah I suppose I could but there are less people around to point and laugh on Thursdays :D

Yes it annoyed me too, the bit that annoyed me the most was the statement that she was an animal lover then in the next breath saying they are killers etc, looked like a friendly loving dog to me, yes he was barking, but a lot of dogs would bark at a strange camera in their face? I was also annoyed at the idiot owner, sorry but I can't think highly of him when he didn't even call about his dog, makes me think he was dodgy. Wouldn't you at least try (legally) to get your dog out or is it that far gone in the UK? What a mess BSL is.

I love this photo, it's brilliant. I'm sititng here at my cold desk and just looking at the photo made me feel warm, I love the track leading out of the gate too. I really enjoyed looking at each dog and seeing what they were doing if that makes sense

Trixie never barks at me but if I am frustrating Kyzer or stuffing him up somewhere or not being forthcoming with enough treats during a clicker session he will tell me off, most of the time he is good though. It's an annoying yappy bark too, not a cute little 'boof' like Ruby did I've just gotta be careful not to accidentally click when he barks, that could be dangerous

My dog tried to mark inside someones house once, he was told in no uncertain terms it was not the done thing and has never done it since. IMO marking inside is completely different to toilet training, and it is not on.

I agree. Me too - also don't the auctions usually raise over the value of the items anyway?
