Well done guys especially those with titles! And Bedazzled on the 199 UD round and Scoota for winning the morning trial Smisch - well done - so is Jock going onto Masters Jumping now? Exciting! You need to update your sig ;) AD well done on the SPD, GD & AD titles too Staffylover good work on the Snooker title Kyzer got his 2nd AD pass and first in his height (only 1 out of 4 that Q'd though) yesterday at the Northern Suburbs trial with his first run of the morning, ran it really nicely and stopped on all contacts, pretty good surprisingly. Nutro sponsored the trial and there were very generous prizes - the first places in each height got 1.5kg bag of food and a voucher to get another 3kg bag and 12 tins - the prize is so much better when it's a food I do actually feed :D His first JDX run wasn't to bad but he was pretty distracted, the afternoon was a disaster - I had my mum with me and she is Kyzer's favourite person in the world so he just kept looking for her and once I could see him contemplating leaving the ring to go and find her... I had expected it though - was pretty happy with the one AD pass I really liked the grounds though and all the public walking past and watching - hopefully some of them join clubs and start doing agility

This thread has some ideas about home made equipment but it is a good idea to learn how to use the equipment for the safety of your dog. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=190917 Also, if you are going to be putting your dog over jumps make sure the dog is not overweight.

My Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Keeps Eating Sticks
pie replied to Jason Cyr's topic in General Dog Discussion
My Manchester has a thing for sticks and wood too, I am always finding wooden 'treasure' stashed in her crate :cheer: -
Trixie stalks Kyzer, he'll be trotting along in the yard minding his own business and you can see her laying as flat as she can waiting, then creeping, then flat again, then when he gets close enough she pounces! It's always a game though and usually ends in zoomies, he'll usually see her stalking him and deliberately wander over or run off inviting chase Kyzer has never stalked anything, he just rushes right in.

That should be illegal

Yay for Ruby! Hopefully she remembers it's not so scary after all! Ahh love your backwards dog, scared of the dogwalk but not of the seesaw Sounds like she's improving though!!! Well my training last night was less than inspiring, I was soooo tired (had to do a 4am airport run ) I kept telling him the wrong things, I told him to walk it on the seesaw then as he sped up it I realised and shouted BANG! and he stopped dead in his tracks right at the end and didn't do a flyoff, thank God! Bad, bad handler. Then I told him to 'walk it' on the A frame which I didn't even notice, but the instructor pointed out. Then Kyzer paid me back by forgetting how to do rear crosses over jumps But he did some good weave entries and I even managed to rear cross the weaves Focus on the positives We are going to need some divine intervention or a miracle from God to get a pass in Excellent jumping this weekend ;) Ah well, it's all practice

Well my special group consists of me, myself, and I. They're a great bunch of people to train with, but they're a negative bunch At least they don't argue with you (most of the time )

I did a Show'n'go before my first agility trial and it really made the world of difference! I have never felt anywhere near as nervous as I felt at that show'n'go, I thought I was going to faint and vomit at the same time I was so glad I did it, my confidence has improved with every trial (so has Kyzer's) Onwards and upwards form here Huski

You've jinxed yourself now Huski How exciting!

It's at the same place that the Nationals were held, nearest train station is Thornlie by the looks but it's 8km away

Hey MM what's the easiest way to get there from the Mitchell Freeway? Do you know where exactly they will hold the trial? I have a map but it looks huge! I don't want to get lost To be honest Amypie I have not come up the Mitchell to get there, but the easiest way for you to find where the trial is ( it will be on the soccer field where we train) is to park in the carpark on beach road, coming from Mitchell you will probably have to come off onto Reid and then turn right at Okely rd I think it is? then at the first lights go right and you will see the gap in the island to turn right across beach rd into the carpark, drive through the first carpark and you will see the road twists to the left ( there is also a clubhouse to your left) the trial will be on the right hand side soccer field ( I could be wrong and it could be on the left one but you will be able to see the rings when you drive in). Thanks for your help MM

I am pretty sure the Bunbury club is affiliated. They must be because they hold ANKC trials. Is that how it works?

Go the yellow MM, if you get another black lab I won't be able to tell it apart from Mason
-
What colour MM? Sure you don't want to try a different variety of Gundog / retriever?

Trixie's not a puppy, she's 11 months old now I know I like puppies, and I do secretly look at puppy listings regularly But the reality is my two are already pretty close together in age (just over 2 years) and both are breeds that regularly last 12 - 15 years so it will probably be a long time before there is a third (5-10 years), and I would hope to be on a big block of land by then. And puppies are bl##dy hard work, I'm still recovering from the sleep I lost with Trixie Maye if I didn't have to work, such an inconvenience
-
Nope, I don't either at the moment, my two keep me busy enough, I don't need another dog to neglect
