I also recommend the Oztrail Compact - I have the standard one like TO, and have no problems putting it up and down and lugging it around by myself - to help put it out I peg one corner of the frame and pull/lift the opposite leg. As said if you do find you hate it it wouldn't be hard to find a crazy dog person to buy it

I always mean to take my video camera - one time I was particularly sad I didn't when both dogs were walking around in the shallows of the river on their hind legs, like some sort of dog zombies, one was trying to get away from the other and they looked so ridiculous walking around upright in circles we were in tears with laughter - wish I filmed it!

Very cute - I have a water horse also  ETA no video though - next time

My Beautiful Buddy Hung At The Groomers ....how Can This Happen ;(
pie replied to Cazstaff's topic in General Dog Discussion
Oh no I'm so sorry for the tragic loss of your lovely boy RIP Buddy -
2012 will be hard to beat for me - don't think it will be possible! But here is what I'd like to achieve this year: Trixie ADM Title - may take longer than this year though lol - need 7 passes More JDM passes, got the title, so the aim is speed, consistency, enthusiasm, and general tightening up around the course Some open passes would be good, need to do more distance stuff, she just doesn't get it lol SDX passes, GD passes, SP passes Training wise it's all about clearer cues from me, better handling, and fine tuning to get some speed and enthusiasm back and continue having fun running the Trixie Bean Kyzer Some ADM passes - doubt he could get 7 in a year though for a title but we'll give it a go JDM title - 5 passes required - may be doable? Some Open passes would be good Training wise it's all about having fun and keeping him engaged :) Should be a fun low stress year :D
-
TSD that's my mission this year - Kyzer and my BF are the bestest of friends (he has run out of the ring to see him before) so my goal is to get him to run him eventually But it's hard to teach a beginner! You forget how much there is to learn!

No the way I go is the fastest - just - i have been both ways - and also the scenery and traffic is much nicer - dont like that freeway it is boring... I don't know much about her but I'll mention that there is a Great Dane group and hopefully they'll join. All I hear is tales of how giant she is lol
-
I don't go that way Horty :p I go freeway - Mundijong Rd - South West Hwy - Del Park Rd. My brother lives in Mandurah though, and funnily enough someone in his household has a great dane puppy :)

Oh no I lost my name! About a month ago, I was bored :p Hey stranger RFT Yes it is dog friendly there, dogs must be on lead though (that didn't stop some people - there's always one bogan that ruins it - "but my dog is FRIENDLY!!" as their dog comes barrelling into our camp setting three dogs off...) luckily they only stayed one night ANYWAY  Yes I would recommend it but usually we pre-book a camp site at Stringers Camp or Yarragil - they are more secluded and less people and we have never been bothered there. This time we camped at Nanga Mill because we have a mob, it is a massive campground and you just camp wherever you want but inevitably in peak season there are people nearby. There is also Marrinup Block camp which is also okay, a bit quieter and closer to town, but not near the river - it's more of a Winter place. Both campgrounds are on the DEC website, you can use it to book a campsite. Lane Poole Campsites Marrinup Block

I escaped most of the stinking hot weather by going camping at Lane Poole Reserve in Dwellingup for three days, dogs had a blast swimming in the Murray river. We all spent most of the time either in the river, or sitting in Nanga Brook which ran behind our campsite and was quite chilly (but refreshing :D ) Kyzer was quite handy to keep the March flies under control (bitey things they are) Congratulations RallyValley on Zora's Inter in Group, and also Mirawee with Anikka's Junior In Group

History of the breed, facts about the breed, and breed information in general. Listing of all current and past dogs, not just name and titles and pedigree but also a bit about that dogs character etc and a few photos. Videos and photos of achievements of the dogs (also the ones in pet/working /non show homes) Links to other breeders of the same breed and also links to breed/sporting club/s if they exist (not necessarily just Australian sites either). Easy to navigate with no sparkly animated Gif images  ETA just saw your post above - I like breed information, because I like to read how that breeder sees their own breed if you know what I mean, and particularly like a thorough breed information page for rarer breeds that are hard to meet in vast numbers beforehand.

Yep  Crazy!

The year is FINISHED! :D And I was right - it was my most full on crazy dog lady year ever :D Following on in red from my June update which is in bold. What a year - better than I could have ever hoped for! Still have to remind myself Trixie has only been trialing just over a year, she really managed a lot in that time, more than I expected from my little baby dog that's for sure! I'm having lots of fun with Kyzer too, I've really relaxed with him, and when he is switched on he is such a fun little man to run! Looking forward to next year :D

That's a familiar sight at my place, though my dog is black so I'd hate to think what temps she reaches!
