Awww ... thank you Julie for the very lovely card I just received to thank me for my donation. I'm especially chuffed that the photo on the front, looks very much like my Spirit. I wish you every success with your raffle of the Sample Packs & I hope you raise a lot of funds that can be put to good use. :)

They're located in Tassie, so if you're into "Australian Made", they're perfect for you to buy products from & support. My OH has this gross thing on both his legs (back & front) that has been gradually getting worse over about the last 10 years. Every now & then it would get so painful he could hardly walk & he'd go to the Doctor's for anti-biotics & some sort of linament. It would stop the pain, but the "infection" never went away & he'd cycle round to the Dr's again. Very expensive to not get a result or get the damn thing cleared up. I was getting such a terrific result for Spirit (white dog in those photos & my siggie), that I took some photos of his legs & feet & emailed them for their opinion. She recommended the "Psor" cream 3 times a day. Got enough pots so that he could apply at home & the office. Sorry to all the blokes reading this ... being typical of some males, (such as not doing it at all on the W/E ) he's been pretty slack about the routine of applying, so it hasn't been completely healed. It is signifcantly less though & he hasn't had to get pain killing drugs since he's been using it ... ie when I nag him or he remembers to apply it., which is basically the same thing really. :laugh: I'm still waiting to take some "after" photos to send to them once the whole thing clears up. This is what it looked like. Just the one photo will be enough to gross you out ....

Spirit's sores are related to the heat. She's gradually building ammunity with each hot season we get. I was pretty impressed with the eczema cream, because it immediately stopped her from continually licking & chewing the spots. It took 3 months of daily application to the sores & red spots, but it did the trick where nothing else had. I was stunned to see fur on her chest for the first time ever when it appeared !!! She's got a few red spots this season, but I'm dealing with them straight away so she doesn't start to chew on them & make them bleed. The cream is also excellent at quickly healing any cuts humans get as well. I work with sharp knives. I wasn't paying proper attention & I accidently sliced my little finger almost to the bone. Stemmed the bleeding, applied the cream & bandaged. Within 12 hours, there was only a little nick & I could work without any covering. One of my Sheps copped a decent "serving" from my old girl on her ear. I washed the wound in salty water & applied the cream. After 3 days, I washed the area, as it was all crusty, to view the damage & decide what to do next. I was stunned to see it was completely healed, with not even a tooth scrape as a scar, like you'd normally get. A friend recently said she was also using the cream for mozzie bites & it was fantastic. I've recommended it to teens to quickly heal those face break outs they get, so they don't pick at the sore or get scarring. And the list goes on & on ....

The products are great. Their face creams are amazing. They actually put silk in their hand creams & it's like having a mini "Spa Date" every time I use one of their products. Very inexpensive and the products actually work. I order up big time to get the best bang for my buck on the postage cost. I love "Nana's Farm "Products. :D Their web site is a bit "clunky" to deal with from my experience. Drop them an email & you'll be good to go. Their products are "1st Class" & have solved a few problems for me that had the vets scratching their heads with "Not sure how we can fix this". :)

A friend of mine just alerted me to this thread & asked me to post based on my experience. It may be a skin irritation/eczema. My dog's legs, paws & tummy looked like this ..... A friend put me onto 'Nana's Farm Beauty Products'. I got their "Doggy Eczema Cream" & now my dog looks like this ....

Spirit is built like the proverbial brick sh*thouse & is a real little pocket rocket. She's a high drive, high energy dog & is becoming a great working partner. As I said, I take very good care of all my dogs, although I agree that sometimes, all the care in the world makes no difference when it comes to something like a Cruciate. At home, she only leaps like that if Scout is in close proximity & she can hear his bells, or if someone comes on the property & she wants to know "Who the hell are you & what do you want ?" before they get to the front door. :laugh:

I totally understand where you're coming from. I wouldn't allow my current B&T GSD girl to jump like that, even if she could. Long story ... won't bore you with the details on an open forum. Whites (like Spirit) are really put together very well & their bodies can deal with & absorb the physical demands of jumping like this extremely well. I take my dogs for a massage every week. Have done with all my dogs for about 13 years now. The lady is very qualified & is extremely thorough, so I'm right on top of any potential thing that could flair up & cause problems. :)

People often ask me that question. Spirit could scale the gate or fence if she wanted to. She just has no desire to. She just wants to see what's on the other side to see if it's something she should be concerned about. I work from home & one of the first tasks for the day, is to take both my Sheppies to the off lead park for a big run .... in all weathers. Spirit has the company of other fur familes members at home & lots to stimulate her mentally, so she has no desire to seek greener pastures. I'm also very big on training for obedience, so my dogs get worked every day. Spirit is more interested in finding out where Scout (my cat) is, than actually nicking off the property. Here she is checking out the back area of the property. No doubt Scout was just over the other side of this wall. Sorry about the picture quality ....

My dogs go "off" the instant anyone is at my front gate & are about to come on the property. I have video surveillance, so I can check who's on my property at any time. If people then open the front gate, proceed up the steps & come to my front door, this is what greets them quickly, silently & without warning at the side gate, which is right next to the front door. Scares the shit out of people. I reviewed the footage after I actually talked to someone who had left the property & they were already outside again on the pavement by the time I opened the front door to check who was there. Spirit made a Scientology lady (who was hawking for business on a Saturday morning) actually "fly" down the 8 steps from the paving to the front gate. The lady's feet never touched the ground from the paving to the front gate. Funniest thing I've seen in a while ....

That's a car boot full of happiness IMO.
