I really don't worry about having yellows, they are still healthy, I never repeat matings anyway, but it wouldn't put me off doing a mating that will produce good healthy puppies if parents happen to carry yellow. If both parents carry yellow, you will get about 1/4 yellow, would prefer not to have them only because if they end up really good, they are no good to me. But still good healthy pets, and as I sell all mine as pets expept what I keep for myself is not too much of a problem. I lost 2 black males in this litter, so the 4 blacks are the only 4 I can choose from.

19 days old, We lost 2 black boys at 3 days old, others all doing well.

lost one black boy this morning, another black boy struggling, tube feeding, but not holding out much hope, as I have never had much success bring babies back from the brink.

Rippa had 8 puppies, 3 black dogs, 1 yellow dog, 3 black bitches and 1 yellow bitch. born between 5pm and 9.30 pm last night 20/7/12. All went well.

Rippa a panting and wrestless last night, didn't eat this morning, and doing lots of nesting, not long now!

interesting, might look at when I have some money, just spent a small fortune on dog stuff!

Quite a lot of my dogs do it, can't really do much about it other than pick it up quick, tried all the so called fixes, these dogs just like it.

what is the idea of these coats, what do they do?

I have just order the Puppy Gold, as expecting puppies next weekend, will try it out on mum and weaning pups (if they don't need supplementing) Will let you know how they go. If they go well on it will look at getting show stopper for the adult dogs.

thanks, hoping for all black ones, but they can come in Liver and Yellow, so might work for a Yellow one (although can't show those!).

I wonder if he was recounting a few??? Ultrasounds can be tricky when the number get high. Still, sounds like you will have a full birth. :) I dought it, he is always spot on, and breeding is his speciality, he was said 12 plus once before and we had 14.

I am looking for names for my next litter of which the ultra-sound show 12 + puppies. the theme is Jamaica (as the sire is Jamaican Rum) e.g. Jamaican Me Crazy Jamaican Me Blush any ideas appreciated.

My bitch had an ultra-sound last Friday, vet counted 12 then stopped and said too many to count, she is due 23rd July.

I recently mated my very big dog with my very small bitch, not sure the exact height difference, but he is 39kg she is 26kg. We didn't have too much trouble once he got the hang of it, the had 1 hour and 25 minute tie. Just needed a couple of extra people to help me out.
