Hi everyone, Right now (Tuesday) the weather is overcast, cold (heaters definitely ON!!) with occasional light showers and a forecast maximum of 15 degrees. Forecast is for showers on Wednesday and Thursday, for Friday a few showers, clearing later, min 8 and warming up to a max of 22 degrees. Partly cloudy on Saturday and mostly sunny on Sunday with forecast tops both days of 23 degrees, overnight lows of 9. Campers rug up warm! So it is likely to be wet underfoot, pack a light rain coat and also something warm you can take off, if and when the sun comes out. For a last minute check on the weather before you leave home go to www.bom.gov.au ; over the weather map “go to weather for” New South Wales, and then under “Forecasts” you want the “7-day town forecasts” for Albury. Cheers, Jan

Hi everyone, just to let those who are interested know that Albury Council will be holding a micro-chipping day on Sunday August 8th from 10.00am to 2.00pm in conjunction with our Show. They hold this as a Community Service and charge a reduced rate. Any exhibitors who would like to take advantage of this opportunity are also welcome to do so. Regards, Jan

Unfortunately we have just received notification that Dale Wilkinson (NZ) has been admitted to hospital and will not be able to judge for us this coming weekend. We are pleased to advise that Glen Vernon (NSW) has kindly agreed to judge in his stead. Glen will be judging Veteran Sweepstakes and Working Dogs on Friday, Gundogs on Saturday, 3-6 month Sweepstakes and Terriers on Sunday. As I’m sure all Gundog exhibitors would be aware, Glen is a Gundog Group specialist and Labrador enthusiast of many years standing. This will also be his first appointment judging the Terrier Group. Regards, Jan

All exhibitors please note. You will not be able to put tarps down or set up near the rings until after 2.00pm on Thursday afternoon. We have seven rings to put up and walkways to be marked off beforehand. Ring allocations will not be finalised until that is completed and we have assessed the ground conditions in the individual rings. Becuase of the last week of rain we have not been able to have the surface smoothed over as we usually do, so we apologise in advance. The weather right now is absolutely beautiful - fine and sunny, so let's hope it stays that way! Regards, Jan

Just to let you all know that the three show weekend (August 6-8 inclusive) run by the Murray Valley Kennel Club at the Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre is advertised in the May issue of the Dogs NSW gazette. It will also be in June Vic Dog. There are seven judges so seven rings will be set up. Judges include three New Zealanders - Polly Middleton, Kaye Finlayson, Dale Wilkinson, with Simon Sim from the Philippines, Michael Quinney from the UK and two local judges with extensive overseas experience - Kaye Eldred and Esther Benson from NSW. The main news for everyone, and especially any interstaters interested, is that we have stepped into the 21st Century for the very first time, so you can now enter these three shows online through www.OZentries.com. The schedule is also up on their web-site. Depending on dates of Brisbane Royal these could be suitable to fit in either going up or coming home. Great showing over the weekend everyone! Regards, Jan Seary
