  1. I have a large breed pup and I'll be waiting till after he's 14 months to have him neutered http://www.caninesports.com/SpayNeuter.html
  2. Just a quick question for a friend, is there any difference between the brown and clear bottles of Permoxin? thanks
  3. here you go http://www.petsonthepark.com.au/category50_1.htm http://www.petspantry.com.au/index.php?cPath=166_169_1_29
  4. I have an update After Jaeger finished his purple bag of EP large breed puppy I switched him over to the Holistic green bag and he is doing beautifully! He's thriving and isnt having any funny poos. Am very happy with the results and I think I've finally found the right food for him and his sensitive tummy! I stopped giving him the pumpkin as he doesnt need it anymore but he still gets his weekly sardines and bones. I might try introducing yoghurt into his diet next. thanks to everyone for their input
  5. good news for those in Brisbane- Canine Country has Orijen http://www.caninecountry.com.au/
  6. don't mean to add to the confusion but EP have come out with a Holistic Small & Mini Breed Adult formula which you could consider too http://www.eaglepack.com/Pages/HS_SMAdult.html
  7. I live on the Brisbane southside My two get a monthly Advantage spot on.. (will be switching them to Advantix though) no flea problem here
  8. yeah, really old but i didnt feel like starting a new thread which adult food are you feeding him?
  9. Adding: the adult food I want to eventually switch to is the EP holistic large/giant adult. It doesnt seem too much different from the Puppy one Puppy: Crude Protein 23%, Crude Fat 12%, Crude Fiber 3.5%, Moisture 10%, Calcium 1.1%, Phosphorus 0.8%, Vitamin A 22,000 IU/kg, Vitamin E 165 IU/kg, **Ascorbic Acid 30 mg/kg, **DHA 0.1, **Omega 6 Fatty Acids 2.0%, **Omega 3 Fatty Acids 0.7%, **Beta-Carotene 5.0 mg/kg, **Glucosamine Hydrochloride 41 mg/cup. ME 375 kcal/cup Min. Adult: Crude Protein 24%, Crude Fat 14%, Crude Fiber 3.9%, Moisture 10%, Calcium 1.0%, Phosphorus 0.8%, Vitamin A 22,000 IU/kg, Vitamin E 165 IU/kg, **Ascorbic Acid 30 mg/kg, **Omega 6 Fatty Acids 2.8%, **Omega 3 Fatty Acids 0.5%, **Beta-Carotene 5.0 mg/kg, **L-Carnitine 150mg/kg, **Taurine 0.11%, **Glucosamine Hydrochloride 82 mg/cup. ME 392 kcal/cup Min. At this stage I am considering waiting until after he is neutered to switch (which will be when he is 14 months).
  10. bump cassie when did you end up switching Zephyr over to adult food? I'm feeding the same puppy food (EP Holistic large/giant puppy) myself at the moment and am wondering when the best time to make the switch for my Wei is. My breeder's rec is 12 months and the EP Nutritionist suggests that anytime after 10-12 months would be fine.. but I'm also hearing others say to keep large/giant breeds on puppy food until they finish their growing (18-24 months).
  11. Jaeger loves his snugga wubba too. It's his only stuffed toy that he hasnt tried to destroy (and we've had it since November too)
  12. ah I see. How are his allergies doing? any improvements since switching over? After searching high and low myself for the green bag up here (I was even told by the EP rep that it wasnt imported into Aust yet), I managed to find a pet store who is able to specially order it in for me. Now the next question is how long I will keep my wei on it for....
  13. Has anyone seen anything like this available in Australia? http://www.brake-fast.net/
  14. sorry to butt in here but FTPO, was it the regular (purple bag) or holistic (green bag) of large breed puppy EP that you were using? and to the other large/giant breed owners.. when is the suggested age to switch to adult food? I always hear differing views.. some say 8 months, others say 18 months
  15. The only fruit/veg which I give regularly is cooked pumpkin with each meal and he really enjoys it
  16. Have you checked out Pet Cafe? The one at Greenslopes had a pretty good range of food last time I was there. Otherwise we have a new PetStock in town that has plenty of RC too
  17. hmm... I might just put it in his kong then and use it up that way
  18. Say he gets 2 cups of EP per meal.. should I just add half cup of this?
  19. I received a free 3kg bag of this in the mail today. It says on the package that it contains "100% ultra digestible vegetal proteins" and is supposed to "limit the risk of food intolerance" Ingredients listed are: vegetable protein isolate, rice, wheat, copra oil, minerals, soya oil, beet pulp, vegetable fibers, l-lysine, refined fish oil, fructo=oligo saccharides, psyllium husks and seeds, taurine, hydrolysed yeast extract, barage oil, marigold extract My weim is doing well on Eagle Pack but I was thinking of maybe trialing this RC on him later on. Do you think I should be adding fresh meat to it since there is no meat content in the product? thanks in advance
  20. Bonnies is about $40 for a 20kg bag I think.. I dont have experience feeding this but I think Supercoat is a mid range food which you could consider
  21. thanks guys for your responses Just think it's a little weird that it's lost pigment like this but I guess I won't worry too much
