Hi it's Hilaryo, just driven up from Brisbane. Macey seems 100% fine. No temp, no mastitis. Tiny bitch puppy and tri boy were fine yesterday. The tan & white boy was vomiting after every feed yesterday but still putting on weight. I knew nothing about this or I would have been straight up then. Today the tiny girl is sick salivating but could have vomited (sara not sure) and pitifull crying. She has been given fluid injection and is being kept warm but the vet doesn't like her chances She was full of gas in her stomach probably from feeding but not being warm enough so milk fermenting in her gut. Both tiny and T&W given shot of antibiotics. Tri boy is still fine. T&W one vomit not long ago. We are not sure what to do, whether to let Macey feed them or not - or possibly let their gut settle down. This is the most awful situation - so distressing!!!

Just antibiotics from her c-section which finished last night. She seems ok, no temp, no mastitis.

Hi all My yesterday one of my puppies started crying a lot and vomits after feeding. He also has a lot of saliva around his mouth. He was still putting on weight so I was keeping and eye on hi. This morning another puppy is doing the same thing. I have never had this before - will be off to the vet but has anyone had this or know what it could be? Thanks - Hilary0's daughter.

Good on you Philippad for asking - not silly at all! You are the sort of person I would be happy to leave a puppy with

Excellent news

We've never lost a puppy before except a nearly 8 week old from some sort of toxin years ago. One bit of happiness is our little mouse - the tiny little puppy in the litter - no longer needs supplementing from a bottle and is able to fill her belly from mum alone now.

No Aziah she wouldn't have thought of that, nor me - makes sense!

Sara updated last under my name about putting the puppy to sleep. As she hasn't been back in here I will answer from what she told me over the phone. Yes it was dislocated and possibly broken - hard to see on the xray with such tiny bones - and severe damage to ligaments Even if it was possible to fix her which they doubted she would have trouble down the track. She was in pain so it was the best thing to do She doesn't know what happened to the puppy. Some sort of freak thing unfortunately. I had just returned from Sara's place after taking Macey up for the birth and initial few days. Macey has had her other 2 litters with me but she is Sara's dog (on paper) and she wanted to have the pups with her as she is home all day with a baby. My poor girl is digging up the bedding looking for the dead puppy. Sara had to take her out of the box last night and only put her in for feeding as she is frightened that the remaining 3 pups could be injured. This is just terrible as it will only make her worse but what can she do?

We had her PTS

Nice puppy I dont know what breed but I will have that one!! I was thinking the same thing!

She's had a tick wash and then a leave in spray at the vets this morning as there were around 10 at the small dark brown stage this morning that were not visable or feelable last night. Scary as there have been around 25 ticks in all removed most already turned grey blue. An emergency vet yesterday checked her over and declared her well enough just very stiff and sore with blistered paws and skin of her muzzle from sniffing to find her way home She seems OK but have to watch her very very closely for 3 days. Still pinching myself that she is safe.

Hi there, its Sara - HilaryO's daughter. I think one of our puppies has a dislocated leg. Has anyone had this problem? If so what did you do? I'm going to take her to the vet but just wanted to ask first. I've taken a few photos. She doesn't seem in pain even when I move it.

SHE'S HOME Unbelievable happiness - so much I can't stop crying Cindy walked up out of the reserve having found her way home. Covered in lots of tiny ticks but no big ones. Pads are a mess all blistered and her poor muzzle is skinned from sniffing to find her way home. Heartfelt thanks to you for you well wishes and spreading the word via FB, etc. Special thanks to Erin and Andrew for doing the flyer and for coming up yesterday to help search - love you guys!!!

Thanks so much Bianca I'm in such a dither - I can't think straight - I can hardly breath with worry. I'm not sure what time I will be up there with the posters but putting up of these would be a great help if you are able. My mobile is 0401 725 191 if you are still able to help after 1.30pm - even if just for an hour! I have to get off here to get organised now. Thanks again.

Lost beagle 3 year old girl in the Buderim bush area. Cindy escaped yesterday into dense bush behind the house with her brother Riley. Riley returned hours later muddy and exhaused but Cindy never made it home. Riley had some ticks on his so time is of the essence. She could be have been injured or even bitten by a snake. She is very friendly and will approach people if sighted and called. This is the area she was lost from: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=Le+Claire+Pl,+Buderim+QLD&hl=en&ll=-26.695884,153.041514&spn=0.007774,0.016512&sll=-25.335448,135.745076&sspn=61.878284,135.263672&vpsrc=6&hnear=Le+Claire+Pl,+Buderim+Queensland+4556&t=h&z=17 I returned to Brisbane last night with Riley. I was supposed to bring Cindy home with me also But will be returning to Buderim today with posters, etc. Sara's fiance has doned his army gear to go into this bushland but it unfortunately is a huge area and she could have chased a wallaby or kangaroo quite a distance. My mobile is 0401 725 191 if anyone has an hour to spare doing a street or putting up of posters. I won't be up in Buderim til around 12pm I would guess. Sorry not thinking straight right now.
