newspaper, and vet bed /dry bed. I found the front loading machines clean them much better, ours used to do them perfectly, now we got a normal top loader, and it just doesnt wash the same. Soon as I can convince hubby, im going back to front loader again.

temp now is 36.5 the lowest ever!
-
The way Pom ava is looking and not doing much, my money is on shepherd Ava LOL
-
Well still in one peice here LOL took to vets and had a xray, and there are 4 bubs in there, and looks like she can whelp them by herself, I was concerned about her size, and often poms will have pups that are too big to push out, if there was only 2 in there, there would have been issues... so now its still jsut waiting..... vet said sometimes the body temp can go up and down a bit, as its happening in her case, so its all just waiting to see which Ava will go first LOL Pom Ava is now day 64 from first mating...
-
This evening we had a drop down to 36.8 nothing else really, she started panting but has now curled up and gone to sleep........ I should do the same I think lol... an hour after her temp drop it was normal at 37.7 I might read out a text book on whelping to her, this is her first and Id like to know the signs thank you very much, shes shown NO desire to nest, hardly any digging, (a few scratches and that was it) the only thing that makes me pretty sure shes closish is that she has now started following me everywhere, whereas she was happy to be left in the lounge, she will follow me around the house. And she cant get up the steps, i have to carry her up when she goes out LOL...

gorgeous dog!!!

well stayed up all night, and nothing much of nothing!!! she panted a bit, so put her on cooling mat and she stopped... cant be too far away surely!!!
-

-
wow izzy is big too! thanks all for your good wishes, no sign of anything here.... of course we went from the first mating so she will of course go from the last.. which is in 4 days time....... poor girl will explode, i dont think shell get a chance to go into labor, ill hear a ripping sound then ill be racing about catching pom babies as they fall back down.... about to do her temp again.. nothing going on that front either!
-
good luck for your ava, I doubt 8 is in store for us, but who knows, might be a even numbered litter! Is this her first litter too?
-
somewhere behind the Belly is my girl, Ava. day 62, clearly feeling every minute of it LOL
-
Heres my Ava when she was 7 weeks :) Nice to see another Ava up there! :) Shes now day 61... temp still norm....... this is her first litter, so its all very new to her too.

I had a pom bitch who would coe in every 4 seasons.. she came from a line of 4 monthly heats, unfortunately it was so they could breed more often. I had no idea until much later. She had 3 C sections, uterine inertia, which might or might not have been caused by so much activity in and around her uterus. I got her speyed and she was fine afterwards, put on weight, and was fine. (is still fine last i heard) but OH so annoying having them come in so often!

Add me in, got a litter of Pomeranians, shes now at day 59!!!! not long to go, her first litter, put her in a maternity clip and shes so funny! Hopefully shell have them as easily as she did getting her title! We are thinking maybe 4, which is a large litter for poms.. could be only 2 but theyd be pretty big! and shes very large, just a bit bigger than my import who had 4, so am thinking its the golden number this year.

We always get breed breakdowns, with our reporting sheets in NZ. It does help, if we are on first or last so we can plan accordingly, travel wish as well. Sometimes we hear of a someone looking for a particular breed so we can tell them approx which time. sometimes its fun trying to work out who is there, often than not im completely wrong. Also, if you are the only one in your breed, you can always decide not to go... as we dont work on the points score.... Its not that hard to get the breed breakdown to exhibitors a week before the show, NZ does it all the time......

I have poms.... went into Animates (with a black pom, and a orange sable pom)to have the very knowledgeable staff member tell me how lovely my miniature Samoyed dogs were. Before i could even reply.... his mum used to breed them and show them as well, and did very well, and did i know her? when i replied they are actually Pomeranians, he said "NO. i know my stuff, my mum used to breed them and show them" I said well you must know more than 20 diff judges and 20 diff breeders cos that dog is a registered champion Pomeranian, and this one is well on way to being a champ pom. Plus there is no such dog as a miniature Samoyed. .....priceless......
-
yeah, im often caught up in the they got good hips if they can.. another one is that if the bitch is heavier on one side, she will have more boys than girls..... (obv when shes in whelp)
-
Only staffordshires will lie down with back legs sticking out. (someone out to tell my poms they are the wrong breed)
-
congrads lizT, what big babies!
-
Partis are pretty cool! no, not all colours ca be shown. Partis can :) But black and tans in australia can, they are just stunning! Id love a black and tan but they are not allowed in nz.
-
I love the blacks! yes we need the blacks, helps keep the colours rich, improves coat. They come in a lot of colours, parti as well! but never should be in merle
