congrads on all who are waiting, sounds like there are some positive pups out there! Fordogs I think your dog ate a tyre... Im guessing 11! I dont know if snacks are gonna do it, you might need caffiene direct into a vein........ LOL

aw gorgeous pics of the GRs! she looks so happy :)
-
awwwwwww shepherd Ava is gorgeous!!! love the pups :)

If you are going to breed her now you may miss out in march show anyways..... Id not take a bitch in season, regardless! She may be in your crate sometimes, but she IS let out, and there are always male dogs willing and able to take advantage... I think its a bit underhanded to take a bitch in standing heat to a trailing show, but then Im a bit of a snob anyways. What is more important? the litter now, or the trails?

hm placenta in the hair? could be a new fashion trend you started! cologne: Eau De Whelp Placental Hair pieces Water Sac Tye-dye clothes Yep, its a new thing often seen at dog shows and vets.....

OMG, that is so tiny. I would be terrified of breaking them. My littlest was 297grams at birth and my largest 460 and they had all topped 1kg by 2 to 3 weeks of age, lol. Its all relative to size, when you are used to lil dogs, you get used to lil puppies.... They arent any more fragile than larger breeds, you just have to watch them that bit more, as the smaller ones are prone to hypoglacemia, and a myriad of problems that may not be such a issue to bigger dogs..

Heres a few quick pics of Little Ava and her precious bundles, she doesn't trust that camera LOL!

WOOT! hoping all the best for shepherd Ava, hope she has "A Ava of a easy time Avin em"!

Its after midnight here, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY! sorry lil Ava count hold out for you, but many happy returns anyways!
-
I havent weighed them but they are going to be around 100-120 grams i presume... I have found that they are around 100 grams per week, or less.. so a 10 week old puppy is around 1 kg, but not often.... I often have 12 week old pups that havent quite reached 1kg yet....

come on team shepherd Ava!

GOOD NEWS! I think we beat the other Ava to the post! 4 beautiful pups, 3 girls and 1 boy! was a bit of a stressful times at times, mad rush to emergency vet when 2 sacks presented, almsot $300 later and Im happily headed home where ava rushed to our spot, and had number 1 10 mins later, with the rest following rather quickly!!! When number 1 was born she gave it and me a look that said WTF is that! by time number 2 came she was a old hand at it, although I had to break the membrame around the head with all... So pleased! Looking forward to the other Ava catching up! P.S what do you think of the ped name Happily Ava After?

Im in Hamilton! I love the Naki, beautiful place down there, we are about 4 hours drive north.. before you get to dauckland... oh i mean auckland... Pom Ava is looking totally miserable, shaking, staring at her behind then glaring at me looking like its all MY fault!!!! Im glad she decided day light is as good to start.. but its just so noisy everywhere! Going to go to the bedroom where its a lot dimmer and less noisy...
