  1. What a great photo of you and your boys!
  2. Such a beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady. Get well soon Jed xxx You have touched many hearts and you are in our prayers.
  3. This is just so tragic Run free over rainbow bridge to all the poor babies who did not make it Lots of healing vibes to the puppies who are hurt and feeling lost without their mummy. Lots of love and support to the beautiful Jed who always seems to be the voice of reason in all of her posts. Her love and commitment to her animals always shines through and you are in our thoughts and prayers. And our utmost appreciation to the selfless people who are giving their time, support and money to carry Jed through this awful time. It is heartwarming to see so many dolers come together, most of whom have never met Jed, but who reach out to help in any way they can (especially the tireless workers from MBDA). Get better soon Jed, so you can go home to the babies that you love and who love you back

    Gherkin

RIP beautiful Gherkin. May your run fast and free at the bridge So sorry for your loss.
  9. So sorry to hear this Marnsi. It must have been such a stressfull time....it will be good to have your little girl at home where she belongs! Jess - Massive congrats on being added to a Lappie list. I want a Lappie but have enough hair to deal with Belgian So I'm going a long coat and a short coat dog. Thanks Belgian Blue...I was also tossing up between another Groen (we used to have 2 beautiful Belgians Baron & Poppy) and I was actually in discussions at one stage to buy a pup from the lovely Maria your Ivy's breeder. I have watched your gorgeous Ivy growing from puppy to a stunning young lady for some time now Are you buying a GSP this time round? I recall at some point reading that you had a boy lined up but it unfortunately fell through and I felt so sad for you.
  10. My breeder has just confirmed that I am officially on the waiting list for a Finnish Lapphund puppy Woohoo ;) After what feels like a very long time researching and tossing up between breeds (there are just so many beautiful breeds on my wish list!) we have found a wonderful breeder and we couldn't be happier. My little girl is due to be born in May and then home in July (as the breeder is keeping a girl to run on then it will of course be pending that there are 2 or more girls born in the litter). I am so excited and its my turn to start counting sleeps. Time to get the baby book out and short list some names ;)
  11. I am sorry Brooke I have no answers for you I just wanted to send you hugs and our heartfelt thoughts. The work you do with foster children is invaluable....we need so many more people like you who reach out to children in need. Good luck in whichever path you take. Please ignore harsh words from ignorant people, it takes courage to come on to this forum and open your heart like you have. You deserve so much more than heartless judgemental comments. These children have come into your home hoping for a safe, nuturing environment and I understand that you are concerned regarding their safety around your GSD as any good parent (foster or otherwise would). You have been offered some brilliant advice regarding options you may have and I wish you all the best. .
  12. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful boy. Run fast and free Fraser.
  13. I have a little foster girl here at the moment. When she came to me approx 3 weeks ago she was VERY itchy and had some back end hair loss. After a trip to the vet she has been diagnosed with Atopic dermatitis. The following treatment regime was suggested by the vet. Wash with Malaseb 2 to 3 times per week. Apply Phyhex medicated conditioner to her coat after each wash. Clean her ears 2 to 3 times per week with Epi-Otic. A 7 day course of anti biotics. A 7 day course of Prednisone. Bring her back in 2 weeks for a follow up. This treatment has worked remarkably well. The itching has all but stopped, her hair is growing back beautifully, and she is just much happier....not to mention oh so pretty . My question is now that her Prednisone tablets have stopped she is starting to become a little itchy again, nothing to bad but I dont want it to flare up again, and long term steroids use is not an option. Any suggestions in what else would help her would be much appreciated.
  14. What a gorgeous "Staffy Smile" What a beautiful tribute and what a amazing life he had with you, and you with him. Run free old boy.
