  2. Is there anyone that can bring a greyhound from Bris to Sydney ? She is in EKKA specials tomorrow and staying in a kennel on the north side
  3. Congrats everyone. Good luck on Sat. Unfortunately I wont be there but Miss Pickle will be. Hope she performs well BMP we will definately have to compare notes LOL I was really surprized at how rude some of the stewards were
  4. Forgot to add, I did manage to get pics done both days, but had to go back several times before the photographer was able to do them for me
  5. Have to agree with you too BMP. I lost count of how many times I was told off. Some of the stewards were incredibly rude although I did find one that went out of his way to help me. I havent been to EKKA for a few years and was shocked at the difference. That said I did have a great time. BOB and RUBOB with the greyhounds in show classes. I did really well in race bred greyhound sweeps too. 1st in broodbitch and bich over 12mths, 1st and 2nd in puppy bitch 6-12mths, and 2nd in puppy dog 6-12mths. I had to leave my BOB greyhound in Bris and come back home. Unlikely to get back to show her but she is in fantastic hands. Just hope she behaves on Sat.
  6. Can you email to [email protected] please. Hope its not too big
  7. I think you might need to be there earlier , otherwise who is going to handle your first daughter ???????? Provided of course we actually get there .......
  8. Do you have any pics of her ? That way we can give you pointers on stacking etc I will be doing the sweeps at EKKA too with my race bred kids and the conformation classes with my show bred greys
  9. Get bloods done. My guess is potassium or calcium deficiency. Both are easily treated
  10. The leerburg recipe is very similar to the one I have been using which is here post #48
  11. Thanks emilee. Off to order now Got goat's milk from the neighbour's goats so it was fresh but no idea what sort they are.
  12. Thanks for the feeding chart Sway. That is a great help. Looks like she needs a bit more per feed Vet only had divetalac. I have not had much luck with this and had to work all weekend so couldnt go looking for anything else. Off shopping first thing in the morning. Have always had alot of success with the DOL recipe in the past.
  13. I have a singleton baby puppy born by caesarian on Friday. Vet gave her 20% chance of survival but she is still here. She was very weak and couldnt / wouldnt suck. She is doing much better but still wont suck. I have been tube feeding her using DOL liver formula (the one with goats milk etc) On Sat she weighed 158g, today she is 141g although she is very active and bright. Her hip bones are sticking out and I am getting worried about her weight loss. She is getting 2 1/2 ml every 2 hrs around the clock. Her tummy is quite tight after feeding. How much should she be getting ? I have previously topped pups up but always they have still had mum to help
  14. I have a greyhound with lots of racing injuries that I can bring along if you like
  15. I have had two greyhounds with broken toes. Both required xrays ( two different vets at two different clinics) to diagnose. Healing was basically 6 weeks confined and 2 weeks supported. Both are now back to normal Pickle was about 8 months old. She broke the toe completely by kicking a brick and displaced the end so it was pointing sideways An xray was done although we both knew exactly what it would show, just needed to know how bad it was. It required wiring to "reconnect" the end. Then full cast over the foot to the hock. That was left for about 6 weeks, followed by another 2 weeks of soft bandaging. Looked awful when it first came off and still quite swollen. Did go down a few weeks later and now is back to completely normal. The wire is still in place but the vet said more than likely it will need to come out at some stage. Nina broke two toes only recently. She was 3mths old when she did it. One toe was completely broken through but not displaced. The other toe was like a hairline fracture with no displacement. She had soft bandaging with a splint for 6 weeks with weekly changes (due to how fast she was growing) She was confined to a kennel with onlead toilet walks only. Another 2 weeks of soft bandaging without the splint and onlead exercise. Also an xray was done after the 6 weeks to check on healing. She is now about to turn 6 months old. The toes are completely healed and you wouldnt know she had ever injured them.
  16. I chickened out. Ended up buying several packets of largest dog sized advantage and splitting it for the smaller dogs. Cost me a fortune but only needed to do it once and havent seen a flea since on the small dogs. The greyhounds still have a few fleas but they do spend alot more time out doors rolling around in the grass. Have kept the advantage up on them but have been able to stretch it out to around 6 weeks rather than monthly.
  17. :p Thanks Pulilover. Well done with your kids too. I have never been to Tumba before, a little further than I would normally go. Was great to have a greyhound get together and a really fun weekend. Think I might go again next year
  18. Got hold of the secretary for Sun and she said I am definately entered. If they got one they got the other.
