We have to leave our door open slightly so he can come and go as he pleases. If our door is shut, he won't let us know he needs to go toilet. He will just sit there, even if we are in a different room he seems to think we have telepathic abilitys. He never barks or grizzles, even when the doorbell rings he doesn't bark- just rushes out and waits by the gate.

I fill the laundry sink with a little water and give him a really good soap up and scrub. Once done he gets lifted into the shower for a really good rince!

How long have you had your puppy for? My pup did the 5am wake ups for around the first two weeks we had him, after that two weeks he started getting up when we did. Now at 8 months he doesn't even bat an eyelid or get up to go to the toilet at 7am when i'm up and getting ready for work! Hes super lazy.

Umm. I am at work now so I can't check the box.. It's just regular Advantix, pack of 3. Now that you say.. I have it stuck in my head that it's one dose every 3 months? Have I been using it wrong!? Is it once a month you dose them? Poor baby.. no wonder he had a flea on him then...

I am really interested to find out what brands of dry food people feed their dogs. I know there are lots of topics and opinions of whats right and whats wrong but I can't seem to find a topic which states the more popular types of dry DOLers feed. It's so confusing, when I first got food for my pup I was recommended Advance by the pet produce place, But after I got my 10th bag free I decided to gradually change as I didn't think his coat/skin was at the best it could be. I was recommended Royal Canin, of which I got a small bag and Snot seemed to really like it SO off I went to a different pet place to buy a big bag as my old one didn't stock it. Well, the lady who was serving me turned me off it completely- she didn't say it was a bad food but put me onto Eaglepack saying how much better it was and giving me all the information regarding it... So being easily swayed I bought that instead... which my dog likes and all.. but I'm just so confused about whats best for him! So this poll is just me being curious as to what the most popular dry food people here feed there dogs. If I have missed an obvious brand, let me know and I will add it to the list! cheers

That actually made me laugh out loud! Which I don't do very often when no one else is around! Thanks for the replies.. that makes sence to wait I suppose. I wasn't thinking, I got home from work and put it on straight away as OH found a flea on him during the day. Stinky he shall stay.

I was just wondering.. I gave Snot his flea treatment when I got home from work today. And afterwards noticed he is due for a bath, how long do I wait after putting the flea treatment on? Would tonight be too soon to bath him? Or should I wait until tomorrow... or the next day? Cheers. Edit: It is Avantix 3 month one..

Snot gets pimples, sometimes on his face. I find he gets them a lot more in his arm pits... and inner thighs. Do pugs get them there as well?

Has Anyone Had Soft Pallete Operation Done?
disorder replied to brandybaby's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi. I was just wondering with the "goose honking" How bad does it have to be before you would consider it a problem? Since we have had Snot he has done this maybe a dozen times in the 8 months we have had him? It's quite distressing to watch, as he is really uncomfortable and it's as though he can't breath when doing it - but usually only lasts for about 10-20 seconds and other than that we haven't had any health issues, he does snore but I wouldn't call it extreme. I'm concerned about the heat as well. This will be his first summer and already he's struggling with it. Although we never take him out during a hot day, When we go for a walk the route we take is max 20-30 minutes which is the most he can handle, half of that if it's warmer.. Sometimes when we go to the dog park he doesn't know his limits and even after 15 minutes he skulls so much water he power chucks it straight back up.. Should I be worried about any of this, or is it basically normal apart from the "goose honking" Obviously if he was doing it often I would be straight to the vet but he has been really good lately and I haven't seem him do it in weeks. -
So sorry for your loss I have admired bubbas good looks from the first photo I ever saw of him. RIP beautiful boy x x x

We Have The Itchies At Our House
disorder replied to daccydog's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Hi. What I use for almost everything is "bepanthen" which is a really mild Antiseptic cream. It's mainly advertised as a cream for nappy rash ( I buy it for after tattoo care) but you can use it for lots of things. On the tube it reads for: cuts, abrasions, scalds, insect bites and stings, chapped hands, minor skin irritations and sunburn! It's gentle enough for use on dogs and have used it for years. it is around $10 from any chemist -
er.. why don't you give him some human attention? If you have just got him he is probably scared, and will take some time to settle into his new surroundings... your posts are a bit random.....

Awww thanks ILTB !!! That looks cool! But you put Mr Snotty head, instead of pants! That made me giggle Although his head IS just as snotty as his pants!! Ahh I'm not making sense. I really appreciate you taking the time out to help a stranger with no computer skills ;) I have made a few changes and add on's.... I feel bad, but do you mind if I wait and see if anybody else does one?.. How many photo's is it possible to fit onto one signature?
