As far as I'm aware Eagle pack is grade A. I'm feeding it having used Advance before. The list of ingredients seem to be better on Eagle Pack. I think a vet has made a comment, however it is just the one comment which doesn't mean its true. I guess we're all guilty of making comments in ignorance. Maybe this vet wasn't all that up on the Eagle Pack. I'm sure someone else will come on the forum and let us know!!

My dog has now been on EP holisitic chicken for about a week now, and I have to say haven't had a problem with that. However am monitoring how many times a day she does a poo as I think this may have gone up!

I also feed my dog sardines twice a week half a tin mixed in with dried food and she absolutely loves it, plus of course the oils are good for them. I just buy the no brand name in oil. However I would advise as with any new food introduce them into the diet slowly. I have heard of one owner who gave their dog a tin of sardines for the first time and their dog couldn't digest the new protein or something and had a messy reaction. Although don't be put off as everyone says dogs love sardines!

I know, didn't mean to single out americans - sorry to have upset.

Larry I watch too much animal planet which have a lot of American dog rescue programmes which are full of dogs owned by people who couldn't look after a teddy bear let alone a dog - thus the cynicism when he didn't take his dog to the vet when it must have been very sick. Poor dog. Trying not to be judgemental though .....

Within days of eating the new food, Braddah, his pet of 13 years, went from drinking insatiably to being unable to walk. He had to be carried outside to relieve himself. Braddah eventually just defecated and urinated wherever he lay. In his final days he would just lie there, shaking, unable to move. Call me a cynic but if he cared that much for his pet he would have taken it to the vet and had it put down. I certainly wouldn't have left any pet of mind in this state, much less left it lying there in its final DAYS, unable to move. Here we go America lets sue the pants off everybody.

Gomez, finally made up my mind today (its been so hard with all these debates) but managed to find eaglepack down at a dog groomers parlour and they're ordering in a small bag for me. Go to their website www.eaglepack.com.au and there is a list of stockists. Will see if I notice any difference over the next few weeks and keep you posted. Should be interesting as I've been feeding Advance - shock horror!!

More research done and think I'm going eagle pack - I'm also not impressed with companies doing recalls even if the food in australia is not affected.

Or maybe not having gone through their ingredients and seen rice and meat meal - still doing a search.

Hi Hesapandabear, Sorry about the confusion I sent off an email to Ziwipeak last night asking where I could buy the product and they directed me to a nutro site? Confused. Anyway I think I'm going to go with Nutro now - got to be a lot better than Advance - cant believe what rubbish they put in it and yet it was recommended to me.
-
i asked this question too - anyone know where you can buy this in Sydney - also on the dried food are they large or small bites?
-
I sent off a query to Ziwi Peak asking where to get it in Sydney and was sent off to the Nutro sight ????
-
Why is it so stinky if its so natural. Was thinking of buying it.
-
After such a lot of research I'm going to try and feed ziwipeak if I can find anyone selling in Sydney!

if you go to www.menufoods.com. youwill find a list of all recalled food in states - nutro is amongst them! But have we been affected here? Which Premium food would you recommend then? Wish I knew!! I'm going through the forums now to see what most people are on. Actually on the nutro website is seems that the food is made in Australia, but having followed the link on you tube about just whats in pet food I am not impressed and looking to change. Sorry I can't help

8yo Girlie Peeing Inside.....
daccies replied to Springergirl's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
if you can catch her in the act and then pick her straight up and put outside that would be good. No good telling her off if you find the puddle later. Very frustrating when they do that after having been so good. -
Whats so wrong with Advance? I'm feeding my dog that who seems to be doing just fine and loves it. Would hate to be feeding her something that wasn't good for her.
-
Do they have NUTRO at the store at all???? WHat about looking online to buy your Royal Canin??? I feed my daccie Advance - haven't heard too much against it and she only toilets twice a day. Plus also feed her sardines in oil once a week (fish oils for bones etc) and bones a couple of times a week to help keep her teeth clean. As with any new food though I would advise you to introduce it slowly.

Think you just need to give your older dog time to adjust and don't leave them on their own together just yet. Also make sure you keep up lots of attention still to your older dog. Have introduced lots of puppies to our older dog and although not impressed for the first week or so, she always settles down and they become friends Just time.
